Q: Will this controller work with pc also? And how does it connect to the Nintendo Switch?

READERS VIEWING THIS BE WARNED. THIS CONTROLLER WORKS WITH PC BUT DOES NOT HAVE ANALOG TRIGGERS. It works fine for emulating Melee, or playing smash ultimate, but this controller does not have analog triggers and will NOT work with a TON of other gamecube games. DO NOT BUY THIS IF YOU ARE USING IT FOR GAMECUBE EMULATION

Q: Why is the USB cord detatchable if the controller isn't wireless?

1.) to answer the other answer… it is obviously NOT wireless, and you can not install batteries in the back. 2.) they did it so you can’t find the wire and have to buy another. They made the hike to plug into the controller just odd enough, you need one of their wires for the best connection too. So they are hoping you can’t find the wire one day, or the controller get’s from the connections. Planned obsolescence.

there was never a gamecube game that required that input, nor was it possible on both original and smash controllers. There's no chance that this will have that functionality.

It does not need an adapter. It plugs in via USB.
