I really like this tea. Reminds me of buttered popcorn. I have bought it a few times. It a great alternative flavour.This tea is caffeine free.I have tried all the teas this company makes.Sometimes the bags loose some leaves, but i dont mind i use loose leaf teas as well.

I discovered Genmaicha about 20 years ago when it was served to me in an authentic Japanese restaurant in London. Never forgot the flavor as the toasted rice taste is pretty distinctive. It just makes it taste so good! I can't explain - you have to take my word for it. Love that I can now order it from Amazon.

I used to be able to buy Choice Genimatcha tea at my local Whole Foods or coop but both stores no longer carry it so I was happy to find it on Amazon. It’s my favorite afternoon tea to drink.

This used to have a good, roast mellow flavor. Now all I taste is the strong flavor of green tea.

Great tea with a nice toasty element

Genmaicha is a tea blend that deliciously combines the freshness of green tea with the comforting flavor of toasted rice. It's an absolute delight to me.

I have been on the hunt for a sweet, nutty tea I had when I was younger that was served during an eastern Asian cultural event. This is not that tea unless I am preparing it wrong. HOWEVER, it is delicate, pretty much one of the few green teas that I can even tolerate let alone enjoy. It is light in color and strength, as some of the others have mentioned, but I like that about this tea. I can make 2 cups/1 large coffee mug (16oz) per bag. Some teas you can make a bit more from one bag, but with this one, you lose too much flavor. Nice mild tea that I have any time of day. Will buy again... and keep hunting.Update:I still am purchasing this tea and have found the flavor to be consistent. I have never received an open box. Enjoy that each bag is paper wrapped so it is easy to throw in my purse and go. Other bags have no protection other than the exterior box. I have had a few coworkers try this tea and they all seem to have a positive reaction.
