I've boughtPerspective Drawing Handbook (Dover Art Instruction)Perspective (Artist's Library series #13)First Lessons in Drawing and PaintingI found this book (Art of Perspective) is the most comprehensive and the easiest to understand. There isn't AS much discussions of the typical planes of perspective (lines converging, floating boxes, etc). However, I've found youtube tutorials much easier to follow on these topics.

So pleased with the purchase.The information is so clearly set out with specific instructions on how the role of perspective in art can be understood and used correctly. I paint in acrylics but the instructions are useful for any kind of medium just as the title states.

Linear perspective is taught so well that by the end you will understand the dreaded 3 point perspective which is brought down to earth. It's all very simple. Art courses teach this subject badly or cannot explain it fully. This book solves that problem. Once you have this book you will have all the creative solutions you need. This is the 1 book you need; you won't need any others. The author is also an excellent teacher, artist and writer. The book is filled with beautiful examples of his art throughout. LOVE IT!
