5 x Compatible Filter Set/Service Kit

This filter is not what I expected. One of the sachets of Carbon/Zeolite Mix had a hole and ended up spilling everywhere when I took it out of the bag. Plus they are a lot smaller than the original biOrb. I'm not buying these again!

Instead of throwing away the plastic filter packs, you can just reuse one, changing out the sponge and carbon pieces.

Shipping takes a WHILE so order a while before you need it. Great price. But doesn't seem to work as well as the filter that came with the tank.

Perfect fit and super inexpensive compared to brand name filters. Will definitely keep buying as needed.

I have used generic kits before for my BioOrb with no difficulty. The media that arrived did not look anything like the photo posted by the seller (I have used something similar before). They amount and consistency of the media meant there was too much for the tray in the cartridge. The media tray becomes stuck fast as loose media migrate out of the tray. It made such a mess and I spent so much time trying to free the tray and give it another go with less media (having transferred the bits I did not have to wash away freeing the tray). Same issue - stuck tray and the filtration seems pretty rubbish from the look of the water compared to previous filters. Have no time to order an alternative so crossing my fingers that fish will be alive after 10 day break. Very unhappy - do not buy.

We purchased these as a replacement for our original Biorb filter. Visually there is absolutely no difference between these and the genuine filters, the substrate is also virtually identical; I don’t think you’d tell them apart. We have bought two packs now as we were so impressed with the first, they work exactly as they are meant to and we have seen no difference in the performance of the filter. They are great value and we definitely recommend.

was a little sceptical on ordering these,as I have only ever used official bio orb accessories.Much to my surprise they are a very economical alternative.They do take a little more time to install than the pre sealed originals,and you do need to clean the plastic holder that the carbon/sponge sits in(I have found wam water with NO soap/detergents quite effective)but this takes no more than 2/3minutes and the 70% saving more than makes up for this.More importantly than cost is water quality and I am pleased to say that the results are at least as good as the original filter,(maybe coincidence but my tropical fish are breeding more now!!)have been doing the water/filter change every 4weeks and the results have been excellent,Highly Recommend .

Although Biorb filters are more expensive they last a lot longer then these!Found that each week I needed to deep clean most things in tank as filter wasn’t keeping tank clear.I like the idea that they go into the plastic compartment unlike the biorb ones where you replace the whole thing which seems a waste of plastic!Doubt I will buy again.

Rubbish.just a poorly cut,thin, poor quality foam and some crushed pieces of charcoal..even the foam is not functional and thick like the original.Don't buy these,I ended up ordering the original.these are not fit for purpose,
