Are any chemical solvents used, such as hexane, during the extraction process?

No, not in the "raw unrefined" shea butter, and I prefer the ivory color instead of the yellow because it doesn't discolor my moisturizers, lip balms, etc. that I make with the shea butter and sell to others.  I would not buy anything but the "raw unrefined" ivory shea butter from "smellgood" (seller).  The unrefined shea butter still maintains all of the healing properties that do all of the absolutely wonderful things for your skin, and the refined shea butter has all the good stuff removed.  Remember the more natural a product, the better it is for your body, or in this case your skin.  I'm learning all kinds of natural beauty products to make with the unrefined shea butter, and everyone I have sole them too absolutely loves the results they get from using them, especially the moisturizer which was my first experimental product.  It's actually very easy to make and only has 3 ingredients.  What are your plans for the shea butter? is this ivory color..? want to make sure before order.. I don;t want the yellow  one

Raw shea butter will vary due to it being completely unchanged by man. It can be many shades of light tones like pale white, off-white, slightly yellow, buttery yellow color etc. 
If you're used to very white (or very pale ivory & uniform in color) mostly it is likely refined and has lost most of it's benefits for skin.

I would like to know exact ingredients. Even some that say 100% often have preservatives and other additives. : /

Raw unrefined Ivory Shea Butter is 100% Unrefined. There is no other ingredients or preservatives or additives in it. You will need to refined it before you use it. You will need to melt it down and filer it. It will have shells and debris in it. The Shea Butter is wonderful I will be buying more of it when I run out.

when was this batch of shae butter made? dont want to exceed the two year shelf life
