This is a great book and a must-have for me! It is my number one go-to when I'm looking for algorithms to explore and use in my coding. It literally stays within hand reach of my desk.

Really good high level concepts and research that you can use in your strategy development. Mixed with Kevin's other books, you'll have a pretty clear roadmap into developing strategies that work in real time. I've already put together 7 algos that I combined into a non corelated complete strategy all from Kevin's books. All are passing real time simulation, and in about 2 more months I'll trade them live. I crank out about 1 algo/day at this point. Not all winners, but that is part of the process. If you are serious about algo trading, do yourself a big favor and read all of Kevin's books.

I have read all his books -- they provide a great basis for developing your own algos. The basic ideas are there, you just need to take what he provides and work with it ..This provides several strategies as a starting point ...

Algo Trading Cheat Codes contains numerous strategy examples along with the TradeStation code. It’s very quick and easy to understand. Kevin does an excellent job helping traders to find of areas of interest and quickly immerse themselves into the code necessary to test the strategies. This is a great educational book traders will be using as a reference over and over again.

This book is an absolute time saver for Algo programming. I like how the author provides the idea behind each code as well as a plain english code and Tradestation Easy Language code. This has both provided some inspiration as well as saved countless hours of trial and error in my programming. I would recommend this is you are an Algo programmer. Thanks, Kevin!

Kevin definitely o v e r d e l i v e r s usable information for real-money traders.Since I'm newer to Algo trading, & this is an intermediate level book, I found it best to take small bites & small actions to make daily progress through the book.The book has lots of codes & info on what to do. However, even more useful is the info on "how to use a strategy" and the psychology of "can you tolerate this strategy?" That's where the real gold is.

I saw another review that the book came without color and mine is the same. All of the plots have no color and the text is washed out. I would appreciate if the author could handle this and send me a colored copy.

Kevin Davey does an excellent job in describing various techniques to help you develop and analyze strategies for algo trading of futures. Kevin is totally transparent in everything he presents, even including the code he used in his analysis. The amount of work Kevin did to present the results in this book is incredible. There is so many worthwhile ideas presented in this book that it will give everyone plenty of material and techniques to build and test multiple strategies of their own.
