I did without a quality sound system in my living room for quite some time, while I paid off debts and got life restructured. When the time was right, starting in late 2015, I started making the change to all newer tech: flat screen, Alexa, Denon amp with Atmos 7 channel, added side speakers into my sound system, etc. When I first played the new amp, I heard a problem; the woofers on my Cerwin Vegas had dry rotted in the years of non-use. I researched it and it looked fixable. This kit was perfect for my model; the only hesitance was the size, so make sure you take a good measurement of main speaker and follow the instructions to the letter. This product WOULD get a 5 star rating except for ONE thing, and this is what other reviewers said too: they don't send enough glue/adhesive. It is true. If you're not going to buy some additional glue at a hobby/craft shop before you start the process, KNOW that you have to apply it like it's scarce, or you will get halfway through the second speaker and start worrying if you're going to run out. Apply it thinly and it should be enough. I made it without buying more and it works perfectly now, but it worried me, just like I said. Buy some extra BEFORE you start if that's an issue. My Vegas sound like new again, and they rock out. Been well over a year since the repair, and I forget that I ever had to do it. FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS, and you'll have no problems. Peace & rock.

Just in case I ruin one of the two I ordered and as a backup.

The instructions that come with the kit are dated. I was concerned about getting things centered on the voice coil so it wasn't scrubbing. I looked on their website for some other reason right before doing the repair and there's a video about using a tone generator phone app @ 50Hz to help center the voice coil. If you do the repair with the tone generator, it's a piece of cake to do right. Just keep squeezing the surround until the glue sets. I've run mine pretty hard in the 6 or so weeks from the repair and everything is like new.

I goofed and ordered the single when I needed the two pack, sadly you cannot return so I had to order a second single. Totally my fault, but ORDER THE RIGHT ONE THE FIRST TIME because you cannot return. Installation was easy with the included instruction and it made my speakers look fantastic!!
