We have had the mat for three months. Although we have not been 100%, we try to put up the mat on the additional shower rod we have purchased so it will dry more quickly. With that said, we are surprised that the mold is growing on it. Now we need to figure out how to clean it.

Q: Will it float when tub filled with water

Mine does ! I am 72 and need safety…. This was very disappointing . Only stayed put where my feet were actually holding it down. Floated all around my feet.

Q: Can this mat be trimmed to fit my tub a little better?

I would not attempt to cut this Mat. I bought one and used it less than 5 weeks and it started coming apart. The top of the mat separated from the bottom of the mat. If you cut the mat I feel certain it will do the same thing. I would not recommend this mat under any circumstance. I tried to return it but since it was 5 weeks I couldn’t. I write to Amazon about this but no response.

Yes I have some of those soap mats. This material is much softer and flexible. I hang it over a rod after each use and folds over the rod and hangs down - like a towel. The mat is very comfortable. The only downside is it traps water underneath it so if you don't hang it after every use you are likely to have mold/yuck issues.
