DEWALT Portable 6 Gallon 5 Horsepower Wall-Mounted Garage Wet Dry Vacuum Cleaner DXV06G

Works nicely, especially with the additional 10' extension hose I bought after I discovered the stretch of the original hose seems just too much in "spring" tension as it nears it's limit,....I wanted to "easily" reach the entire garage, and to reach outside the garage if mounted very near the exit door. Now, with the extension (shown in pics) it easily services the entire garage as well as the driveway, reaching the rear of any vehicle if parked within 8 ft of the garage door. Suction is very good, (not excellent) and enough for my needs. Haven't tried to suction water, but in my experience with wet/dry vacs, that's never a problem. What I really like is the reduced noise of this vac with it's included "muffler" mounted in the air exit port, and the ease of portability if desired. It removes easily from the wall bracket and is truly portable, making it a nice addition to the shop I have in the garage, saving the floor space of the previous 12 gallon vac with it's rigid hose which was simply not easy to move around and use, having to drag it with the hose wherever you wanted to go. I'm satisfied, but I think a big improvement would be to make the length about 30 feet in all.....that would have saved me some 'not-inconsiderable' extra money outlayed, and made for an easy to reach 20 -25 feet usability. As it is now, with my extension, I'm tickled with this.

I really like the convenienc, power and the remote of the Dewalt vacuum. Mounting was easy, though I felt that putting a washer inside the mounting hole gave it more security. Putting the hanging cubby on the frame took a moment to figure out how to thread it around the tubing. The remote worked perfectly from anywhere in my garage. I do a lot of woodworking and the dust bag is a big plus. Unfortunately, the bags on Amazon are too expensive. I found them online for less than half the price. I recommend that you use the dust bag if you're doing woodworking because if not, the filter gets clogged and it stresses the motor and drops in power. This doesn't happen when using the bag. Besides, it's so much easier to replace the bag than to empty the vacuum and then clean the filter. Highly recommend.

portable, powerful, filters well, durable. GREAT HOSE. 110/120 V. sounds like.... well, a vacuum cleaner. EASY to clean. typical dewalt. attaches to sanders, planer, etc. just sayin.

Dewalt is a reliable brand. This is a great shop vac. This shop vac is a corded shop vac and I made sure to purchase the corded one in particular as I didn’t want a battery to worry about. I have a battery powered weed whip and a blower and I didnt want to have to charge anything. The cord is long on this vac though. The suction is very powerful on this. It is a bit heavy but nothing that is too much. All the extra accessories and tools are so nice. I just used this today for a sink faucet change and all the metal that fell while disassembling the old faucet this sucked it all up and made fast work of it. And the fact that I was able to hang this on the garage wall was a major plus. Definitely would purchase again.

My wife was complaining that I buy way too many Dewalt tools, of which I totally love! I decided I should get her something as well, and then searched diligently for a Dewalt tool she might enjoy. I found this vacuum cleaner! I wrapped it all pretty and gave it to her for her birthday! Oddly enough she did not seem that impressed by it, but I feel that it works perfectly as described, has a very flexible hose, multiple attachments, and was very easy to mount on the wall (big reason I bought). I am, despite its cost, happy with the purchase, even if I am single now.

This unit is awesome! Very easy to mount and removing it from the mount is just as easy. The hose is better quality than the what my other "shop vac's" come with, in fact it kinda feels like the same hose at the car wash. Reach on the hose is good and retracts nicely. All the extra compartments for storing accessories is a nice touch too.2 minor things that caused me to drop a star. I wish it was a little easier to remove the bottom portion for emptying instead of taking the whole thing off the wall, and make sure the cord isn't wrapped for storage because you won't be able to separate the 2 parts. Maybe putting the cord wrap on the motor would've been a good idea. But I'm no engineer. The other is the suction power. I also have the DXV09P-QT shop vac as well. It is also 5HP and I feel like the suction is better on it than this unit. With that being said it does well enough for me to clean the vehicles, etc.One side note, and I expect this is the case with all wet/dry vac's. Don't expect miracles with the blower. It'll do in a pinch, but I wouldn't rely on it for any real work. I have a DeWalt cordless leaf blower that outperforms this one by far.

Plenty of power and we'll designed. Storage space in the unit and in the bag is super. Really like the purchase.

Purchased this wet/dry wall vacuum to replace my old metal one that died after 30+ years. My DeWalt has Excellent suction, not too loud and comes with every attachment imaginable. Lots of storage as well.The hose is a lot heavier than my old vacuum but it does stretch easily to 16-18 feet. I don't need it to stretch the whole 20 foot length. I didn't think that the wrist remote was of any value until I left the vacuum on and it sucked into the carpet making a screeching sound which we've all experienced. Now I wear the remote and have come to like it. Easy to mount on wall with anchors and screws (included). Simple to remove from wall for portability. I highly recommend this product. Ordered on Sunday and got it the next day.
