Did the eyelid and bottom of my grill using this. 3M always delivers! I've never wrapped anything before and this went as well as I could have expected it! Matches the car and went on okay! My skills are very subpar! Lol

I bought a few rolls of this and some narrower film to stripe a Corvette. Bought a kit from Amazon with some tools and spray too. It looks great. Saved a ton of money over a professional install. Saved a lot over a precut kit. Satin black on a black car looks amazing. Gets compliments all the time. This is a professional quality product.

3M 1080 line is an amazing productHowever Vivid sent me a product that is short and has a fair amount that was unusable.The box that this was sent in was barely able to contain it which contributed to the damaged edges and there was a single piece of tape that was suppose to hold the box closed.No the tape didn't hold the box closed and it was basically open at this point.Do yourself a favor if you're buying larger pieces and buy from Metrostyling.

I consider myself handy, but I have never worked with an automotive wrap until this one. I bought 3M based on reviews that they are easier to work with and more forgiving. I have always had good experiences with 3M products so I went with it.The B-pillars on my car were pretty damaged from the Sun and they have been eye sores. Satin black is perfect. It's not too shiny and I think matt would've been too dull. I am happy with my choice to go with satin black.I first wet sanded the b-pillars with 1000 grit sandpaper to get some of the Sun damage smoothed out. This didn't take too long (and I also covered the rubber pieces with blue painter's tape to protect them from the sandpaper.) Then I gave them a quick wash, and wiped them with alcohol.Applying the wrap was super easy, largely in part because the b-pillars are mostly flat. The bubbles were easy to remove (one of the talked about features of 3M wrap). I also used the heat gun to "shrink" them.All in all, I am very happy with the results. The whole job took about 2 hours, including sanding, washing, and applying the wrap.

This is a great product. Easy to use? That’s a different story and proves that about 90% of any tedious job is easy. It’s the 10% that requires skill and practice. I ended up with some ugly spots on my first try around the very tight corners and other challenging areas. Nothing you can see unless you’re up close. I believe the adhesion is good and I’ll find out for sure the first time I go thru a car wash. It’s thick and good enough quality that it survived my pulling and tugging and still looked great.
