You should look into mixers? Mixers have multiple inputs and one output for speaker. It has a jack for headphone.

You plug the speaker output on your TV or computer to the Input then you have the availability to plug in external speakers or headphones.

The reason for the popping noise when the amplifier is turned on is that it does not have a capacitor in line with the power supply. The amplifier produces sound through electrical current, so the initial surge of electricity when the device is turned on, causes a kind of signal to be forced through to the headphones. In theory, such a thing could cause damage to a speaker, if the "signal" overloads the power ratings of the speakers, but in practice, this is not very likely, especially for an amplifier like this one. The bigger issue, to my mind, is that if you're wearing headphones and the volume is turned up, you may expose your ears to a rather loud pop, which could be harmful. So, yes, you could avoid the problem by not turning the unit off but only turning the volume down. I would still recommend, however, the step of putting your headphones on only after you have plugged them in, and if you do turn the amplifier off, putting your headphones on only after you have turned the unit back on.

Mine works fine. Please check the source, sometimes happens that there is the problem with the setup. Just put some basic headphones with volume and check that the source is sounding fine, complete
