The best trilogy.
If you are a fan of the newer Sophie 2, you have to play these 3 to get the full story of the characters. Its worth it!

Love the games.
Great games. My only gripe is I wish they weren't so expensive.

Incredible Series
I've actually never played these before. I purchased this and the Dusk trilogy and absolutely love them! They are pricey but a great collector item!

Laid back RPG experience with three full games
This was the first of the Atelier series that I bought. I'm about 25 hours into Sophie's story. The RPG has a very laid back feel to it. There's a crafting minigame that's fun without feeling frustrating. Combat is turn based, not active, so there's no stress or time pressure. The penalty for losing a fight is losing some of the materials you gathered that trip, so losing a battle is a minor annoyance at most. There are three full games on the cartridge, each with a digital art book. So that takes some of the sting out of the price. I liked this game well enough that I tracked down the other two trilogies available.

N00b alchemist here...
I'm probably only through 2/3rds through the first of the 3 FULL GAMES FULLY CONTAINED ON THIS ONE CARTRIDGE, but I'm willing to give it full props based on the quality I've played so far. I followed the advice of one critic; he stated it was a guilty pleasure of his to play these beefy JRPS on their easiest setting, and I'm a bonafide JRPG junkie now. It doesn't hurt that there's a lot...and I mean A LOT...of eye candy for the Atelier titles. They smooth over any complaints I may have had, but most complaints would be largely due to the in-depth alchemy system. Is that a complaint, or a conceit that I've got to start honing my alchemy skillz? I'll let you know in another 125 hours or so. ;)
