Really impressed with this product
This was a great product to work with. I should have taken a before photo of the desk I did, but it took a beat up old pine desk and turned it into a stunning looking antique. I used the dark walnut which is a nice rich warm color. It went on like paint, washed with soap and water and dried in about an hour. I was able to do 2 coats in 1 day and there was little to no smell. Being able make a furniture piece look new in 1 day is a big win in my book. I thought I was going to need to put a clearcoat on top, as when the product in on it looks dry and has no luster, but after it dried it has a beautiful luster and smooth feeling finish. I bought a quart and used about 1 inch of the product and I was very generous with my application.

Love it!
I bought the Cherry color. I absolutely love this color!! Exactly what I wanted. First I cleaned with Krud Kutter, no sanding. Then I used a foam brush to apply the stain to my cabinets. Let it dry overnight. By morning I noticed some areas that could use a second coat, so I applied that. It did make the color a little darker, but I still love it. It even went on well for the fake paneling on the sides. Posting a picture, top cabinets are the before, bottom are the after. I am still going to use a clear satin top coat for more durability. Not bad for 30+ year old golden oak cabinets! (Don't mind my clutter, we live here.) Bonus! It cleans up easy. I like that it is virtually odor free and soap and water clean up. It's hard to find a water based stain, so this was awesome to find. I would definitely recommend this! Will try to update after I finish.

PERFECT!
WOW! GORGEOUS! RIDICULOUSLY EASY TO USE! FABULOUS!In case you haven't noticed, I am in love with this product!Yes, it seems a bit pricey at first, but it is worth it!The color is exactly as described and then some! It is rich and saturated, which is exactly what I wanted!I am currently using it on a slab of well-sanded, dried cedar from the Pacific Northwest. I did not use anything for prep because I wanted to see how it would do - OH HAPPY DAY!Yes, I wore gloves, of course, and I used a small paintbrush and an old, clean dishrag to wipe it/buff it out.I did have to go back and touch up places I had missed on the first pass, using the same paintbrush and feathering it in so it wouldn't have obvious lines. It took me all of maybe 15 minutes (including hunting for the paintbrush and rag).I let it dry in the sun for an hour (yes, we really do have an occasional sunny day in early April here, just north of Seattle, don't tell anyone).I love this product so much that I just ordered the Azure and Raspberry! YAY!Here is a picture to help. I tossed in some mosaic pieces to help you see the color of the stain a bit better. There is no other finish/sealent on the wood at this moment but I will probably add a semi-gloss clear coat.Buy this, you will love it!

Really enjoying this stain. (Clay color)
So I haven't worked with low odor non toxic transparent stain before. Varathane Kona is usually my go-to color. However after staining some stair treads with it in the gel form (hadn't realized it was oil based) the stairs stunk for about 6 weeks. Kona also is not very transparent if at all on the gel form. That led me to try this product. Completely different color than Kona but so much more depth of color. It was a bit of a learning curve. The ikea moppe drawers I turned into a nightstand were done first with a foam roller (wouldn't recommend) though I don't hate how it came out. The shelf was done afterwards. It's an Ivar shelf from ikea and I believe it's pine.I have a fine mister bottle that I sprayed into the cup of stain to water it down further and I would also wet the rag and the wood slightly so that it didn't absorb right away. It has a lot of play time before drying and I really like how if one area is too concentrated you can mist some water on it and it disperses almost like watercolor in the tube. You can also do this if it dries too pigmented as well to reactivate and work in into other areas which I really appreciate. I plan to layer distressed paint effects over the the stained pieces and then seal it using General Finishes Flat.I transferred my stain to a fifo squeeze bottle and even found squeezing it directly onto the wood and then misting it and wiping it in with a wet rag to be even faster. It's very easy to clean and a little goes a long way.I can understand the people who say this isn't easy to work with. It doesn't act like traditional stain. It only became easy once I watered it down and used a rag. Using the roller initially it acted more like paint. It is initially a black color until it is fully absorbed.Would recommend for those who want a low odor non toxic transparent stain that is easy to clean up and forgiving to work with.Note: The shelf was done in the clay color, however the side posts that have a warm brown mixed in is a layer of Dark and dDecrepit stain from Debs DIY Paint that's layered over it. The clay stain has a gorgeous purple hue to it. Will definitely repurchase and would like to try some of the other colors like olive, dark walnut, and castle stone.Thank you for coming to my tedtalk...

Trim stain
Awesome product. It covers a lot of areas. Easy to apply. Of course it’s a flat finish but polyurethane works well on the stain.

This is "forest green" like a haunted forest on a moonless night is green
I got this in lime green and forest green thinking it would be you know, be lime green and forest green. If I went into a forest this color forest green, I'd want to have all my blade oils and potions at the ready because forests that are this black of a green always have monsters. The lime green is a nice, summer leaves green. This is the most opaque stain I've ever used. It's thick. It goes on like paint, and it looks like paint when it's dry.It is easy to clean up, and dries fairly quickly with little odor. Still, if I had wanted black paint, I would have ordered that.
