BILLY FootwearKids Jogger (Little Kid/Big Kid)

My son has difficulty with shoe laces, and Velcro shoes have been his way of dressing his feet for years. Finally, a shoe that looks like everyone else's but he can independently put on by himself. He's only worn them a few times, so can't speak to the long wear of them. But they are sturdily made and look great!

Fit snug but great shoe would buy again

These shoes look just like the picture and my son was happy with them. He’s autistic and can’t tie shoes and often struggles with the tongues in shoes. He was able to zip and unzip these shoes himself. The zipper was smooth and easy to use. I’m giving these shoes 4 stars however for a few reasons. These shoes ran much smaller than other shoes of the same size. I’ve posted a photo to compare size one New Balance to these size 1 Billy shoes. Also I was unhappy to find that the tongue was not sewn into the shoe so when unzipped it will still get in the way of my son trying to get these shoes on. My last issue was that the shoe laces are functional and not for decorative purposes. They can become untied and a tripping hazard for him since he can’t tie them himself. A double knot would probably fix this problem, however the photos didn’t show that they were a real tie so I wanted to mention it…I will be returning these and looking at other options.

These work well with braces but the Interior of the shoe is wearing through after a couple weeks. I was so disappointed. I thought they would be made better. They are easy to get the foot in the shoe with a brace on. But they are rather bulky. Probably won’t buy them anymore

Love these! They fit my daughters AFO well. The laces loosen for additional width. Overall a great ‘typical’ looking girlie shoe that works great with AFO! My DD is very pleased.

9yr old has worn AFOs since a year old. These are the 1st pair of shoes that I’ve loved. Not sure what held me back from trying Billy shoes previously, probably the potential of the zipper failing. What a fantastic idea, and an absolute must have for anyone with orthotics.
