Awesome set of strings
This set (minus the e string) is what is the best match for my daughter's violin. These strings bring out the best sound for her violin. They do have to be changed out every 6 months based on the amount of practice she puts in but it is worth it.

Better than Green Evahs
I bought these strings about six months ago to replace Dominants. I absolutely loved them. Recently the A string frayed and I decided to buy the Green Evahs with the gold E string, thinking they were pretty much the same strings.I couldn't believe how different they are. These Gold boxed strings have a much warmer tone. I loved them. I'm going to replace the Greens with new Gold even though the Greens are new. ( I may give them to someone who needs new strings). By the way, the A string on both frays and needs replacing much sooner than all the others, but I've been told it is best to replace them all anyway.

Set of strings that are much warmer than the regular Pirazzis!
Of course every set of strings is different to every violin. My violin is very bright, but warm sounding. I used to use the regular Evah Pirazzi's but decided to give this Gold set a try when the price was $87.42 (only $1 more than the former set at the time.) Now these strings are warmer and not as soloistic as the regular Pirazzi's. I am so used to playing on the regular set, that this required a bit more force to get more out of it, also there is a bit of a delay when playing on the G string.I have to say i was slightly disappointed when I got the strings at first, because I thought the strings were actually going to be gold.. hence the name of the strings. (That is not the reason I wanted to try the strings, I would say though the title of the strings are a bit misleading.) These strings are the total opposite of the regular Pirazzi's like the Peter Infeld Blue and Red, their qualities differ. Whether or not you have a bright or dark violin (in sound), these strings would be great if you are in an orchestra or small ensemble. For solo playing, I'd recommend the regular Pirazzis! (The one with Green Paper.)

Beautiful rich tone
Love the round, rich tone of these strings. They were quick to break in and hold their pitch!

Amazing strings!
The media could not be loaded. Beautiful sounding strings! If you have a darker sounding violin these should bring out a little brighter sound. Great for solos! Very well balanced.

These are my favorite strings...but
I wouldn't buy from Amazon again. I bought them six months ago because I like to keep them in my case just in case a string breaks. Then, I change all four strings every six months or so. Today, I put the A string my instrument and it failed right away. As I was putting it on, the threaded end (at the peg) just kept unraveling. I am wondering how old these strings are. This has never happened to me before. Usually they have a shelf life of about a year or so, anything longer than that is pushing it. I am guessing that buying them from a music store that deals only in stringed instruments is a safer bet for the next time.

Added so much to the tone
My violin always sounded great with evah pirazzi strings. However the golds are just that much better. A huge boost in complexity and warmth. Still a soloist string with plenty of dynamic response and projection. These are the best strings I can find and definitely worth a try.
