Don’t boat without it!
So I’m going to embarrass myself here because I did the thing, forgot to put the bilge plug in before dropping my boat in the water. I have a new engine and when I installed it I replaced the bilge pump with one of these. So I dropped my boat in, parked the trailer and walked back to the boat dock only to see water shooting out of the flood relief valve and I instantly knew what I had done! I ran back to my van and hurried the trailer back down, loaded my boat and back up to the prep area. I ripped the dog house open only to find that my engine was absolutely dry top to bottom! I’m gonna say that this little auto pump saved my boat and my pride!! (not my ego though!) awesome reliable product and I’m buying a second one to install just for peace of mind!

Not working correctly.
This bilge pump can be wired to only function as a manual (only works when switch is ON) or as an automatic (which always has power, but only works when the internal float is up) or as both.We wired it for both; the boat would be left with the battery switch off, but the third wire always giving power to the pump - so if it rained and sufficient water accumulated in the bilge the float switch would turn on the pump.Unfortunately there was a problem with the float switch. Even using the small extension knob to lift the float, it would rarely activate the pump. This is unacceptable for a bilge pump, whose failure could easily result in a sunken boat.I have since purchased a replacement and need to return this one for inspection/repair/replacement/refund, seller's choice.

Works Well
I had a Rule Mate 500 that never kicked on automatically. I replaced it with another rule mate 500 and that pumps' automatic switch never turned on either. So I installed the Oasis Marine pump and it works great. The float turns on the pump when the water level rises just like it's suppose to. So now I can leave the boat at the slip and not worry about it taking on water.

Automatic float switch does not work and bilge pump stays on.
Installed this unit a few months back. Just went to use it an now I find it's defective. Unfortunately now it's putside of the return period. Who do I contact since it's advertised to have a 2 year warranty?

garbage
I would give it zero stars if possible. I have wired hundreds of rule pumps. I tested prior to use and worked, heat shrunk, wired properly and bilge pump worked. Once I hooked up the automatic side of the pump it stopped working. So basically worked for 30 seconds. Don’t waste your money. But a rule
