XMark VOODOO Olympic Weightlifting Barbell, TEXAS STAR Weight Plates and VOODOO Weight Bar Sets Options Available

Barbell quality is an absolute necessity for me. I’m rough on them: I move a good amount of weight (500+ lbs) on several lifts and have found lower quality bars to bend and fail quite quickly when used daily. I received the barbell today and I must say I’m very impressed after opening the packaging. First off, the packaging was very good. It provided more than enough protection. The barbell came oiled so it looks perfectly maintained. The black bar with chrome sleeves just looks good. The sleeves are 16” (I think) but long enough to stack a lot of weight on. The knurling is more mild to moderate in my opinion. I wish it were more aggressively cut than it was but it feels nice in the hand and works well with chalk. 28mm in circumference. It’s got a good whip to it: I personally a more rigid bar for daily training to add a bit of difficulty, however I’d say the whip is very middle of the road. This is a great, all around bar for anyone. Strong enough for even the biggest folks and beautifully assembled for all. I’m very, very impressed of the quality for the cost of this bar. Without question I’d put this head to head with Rogue and EliteFTS bars.

During the time of coronavirus, i needed a bar but the big names were all 2x their original price as they went out of stock and the vultures took advantage of the situation to make a buck on eBay and other sites. That took the Rogue and Fringe bars out of my price range. This one came up as the best at the next rung down price-wise.Before the price gouging from 3rd parties this one was about $100 less expensive but I don’t know why - the quality is outstanding.The knurling is great - good bite without going to rip your skin.I love the black phosphate coating on the bar. The chrome sleeves are often an extra cost upgrade from some of the other companies. (This is my favorite combo, followed by the bare steel bars.)The only thing I miss on this one is knurling in the center.Highly recommended.

1.5 years later, still going strong. No issues. I prefer it to most any bar I pick up in my local CrossFit gym. Can you spend a lot more and get a little better spin or some super groovy colors? Sure. But for a better bang for your buck, my experience says that this is the bar. Update. 2 years of use now. Bought a second bar 6 months ago because others train with me in my home gym. 2 years of lifting with it, not super heavy, I pull just under 400lb on a deadlift and everything else less. It get dropped persistently onto the concrete floor with clean and jerks and snatches. The gym is not climate controlled. I can honestly not tell you without super close inspection which bar is which. So 2 years of steady use and still like new except some patina on the knurls as there should be upon close inspection. When I buy a 3rd bar so I can set up Linda in my home gym, it will be another of these. It is well made, durable, nicely whippy, and very pleasantly knurled without too much aggressiveness to the pattern. I just cannot justify spending more when there is no area of deficit in this bar. Just so happy with this purchase.

Bought for my garage CrossFit gym. I’ve been looking around for a proper barbell for powerlifting, make sure it’s rated above 700 lbs, higher the better. Although the big brand barbells are highly rated, they are way more expensive including shipping, plus most of them are OOS. I finally found this one on Amazon, very well packaged, feels good on hands too, bearings are smooth, been using for CrossFit for a month, no problem at all. I guess maybe it’s not as good as the big brand, but it’s not as abused as in public gym either. So for the quality and price, I’m very happy with the purchase.

Nice bar. Unfortunately the bar had a small rust spot when it arrived. Hoping it rubs out.

I ordered the XMark Voodoo bar a couple weeks ago for benching. It does the job and the one I received is flawless. They shipped it fast. It was well packed. It came in a sturdy cardboard tube with heavy plastic plugs in the ends secured with plastic rivet looking things which was packed in foam inside a normal box.I especially like the aggressive knurling and the bushings are really smooth but not free spinning like the worn out generic bar I had been using. I’m just a bro chasing gains in my garage so I have no real specifics to share other than this bar is well worth what I paid for it. Hope this helps.

I'm using this bar for dead lifting. It has good knurling, very grippy, like sandpaper, without feeling "spikey" if that makes any sense to you. Nice smooth spin on the collars and good finish on the bar and sleeves.Probably wouldn't compare to an Eleiko, but I wouldn't pay that kind of money for a barbell anyway.Nice bar for the price, especially now.
