Great bargain for thumb drives
I like to have a few thumb drives laying around so that I can share home videos with family - or copy software updates using my high-speed Internet to load on friends/families computers who have low-speed (e.g. Satellite) connections. The drives invariably disappear, they get "loaned" out and don't come back, so I always look for a good price on a bulk pack like this. The 8GB size is nice as some items (e.g. OS X Yosemite update) are big enough to need that space. One thing I really appreciated about this one is that they had two buying options - Amazon Prime for (as of this writing) $22, and direct ship from China for about $18. So if I'd been in a hurry I could have had it in 2 days for a few dollars more; since I was just buying them to have on hand because my supply was getting low I chose the cheaper option and they took 10 days.I tested all five (reformatted them for Mac format) and all worked perfectly. There is a red LED in the end of the drive that lights up when connected, flashes with activity. Interestingly the LED is more visible on some colors than others. The Red drive lights up with a very bright glow - the Green and Purple glow dimly through the plastic - and the Blue and Black plastic is totally opaque so the LED can only be seen via the hole in the end of the drive. Since I'd randomly chosen the Red first, and saw the bright glow - then plugged in the Blue, I momentarily thought that the Blue one was not working until it popped up in Disk Utility and I realized it was just that the LED is not as visible on that color.

Great quality
These customized USB’s look absolutely amazing! Had 20 made and they honestly did a great job customizing. Would order more from them in the future!

I did a full format to each of them and they all work fine. No dead drives as others here have mentioned ...
I got exactly what I paid for: 5x8GB flash drives. I did a full format to each of them and they all work fine. No dead drives as others here have mentioned but I took a gamble buying this product for the price. The construction is actually pretty sturdy although these probably won't hold up to much rough handling as the metal swivel part is just held on by pinching the knobbed ends of the thumb drive. I can see that wearing out easily and falling off.Userbenchmark ranked the performance as "terrible" but I didn't buy these for fast transfer speeds.

"If It Sounds Too Good To Be True..."
I should have known better--"if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is." :( Well, five 8 GB USB flash drives for about $9 (before tax and shipping) sounded too good to be true, and it was. But I thought "even if two are don't work, that's still a great price for three." But only one worked. When I received the drives (overseas shipping straight from China), I immediately fired up my computer and connected each one. And each one connected fine, showing 7.48 GB available, with FAT32 formatting. The problem started when I began formatting them the NTFS file system, so that I could save larger files to them. That killed four of the five drives. Only one of the drives finished formatting correctly. The other four drives each either failed to format (and were unusable afterwards), refused to be recognized after formatting, or showed "0 bytes" available after formatting. One of the drives actually physically broke apart as I withdrew it from the USB port. A sad day here in Geek-Land.So, the moral of this fable is "You Get What You Pay For." Don't waste money trying to save money buying cheap, no-name Chinese products. (Not that there aren't good Chines products--these just weren't good.) Pay the extra dollars for brand-name, reputable drives. After tax and shipping, about $15 would have been GREAT for FIVE 8 GB flash drives. For one, that I really can't trust, it's not so great.
