Awesome peeler!

You will never change to another peeler once used to this one! I use it for 8 years already - still perfect sharpness and ergonomic.

After reading raving reviews, although there are currently only 2 (yes, two), decided to give it a shot as a replacement for my years old OXO peeler of similar design. Design is simple and nice, but either the sharpness is underwhelming or my expectations were high based on those reviews. For a brand new item, it doesn't feel significantly sharper than my old OXO peeler which has quite a bit of mileage. Makes me wonder if those two reviews are even authentic or the reviewers never tried other products? Anyway, lesson learned. I'd stay away from products with very small number of (positive) reviews. SVEICO is quite inexpensive and not worth the trouble of returning. It'll just sit in the drawer and perhaps get used once in a while, as a backupOn a side note - recently purchased another peeler (different brand and design, so called Y-shaped type) which is outstanding. No comparison when it comes to sharpness. The only thing to keep in mind is that these two designs are very different and I use them for different purposes. For example, SVEICO design is good for irregular shapes, such as potatoes and ginger, as well as small sized items, while Y-shape is much easier to use for elongated or round items, such as cucumbers, carrots, apples, pears, lemons etc.OK purchase, but still on the quest to find an awesome peeler.
