LPS 3 Premier Rust Inhibitor, 1 Gallons

This is a very useful product for things that can rust. I will definitely purchase again and recommend as good rust preventer. It all depends on how the item( rustable) is used sometimes paint is a better choice depends on situation. SHAKE WELL BEFORE YOU USE. It goes on like a sauce and all you need is a thin coat. It will dry out leaving thin coat an easy to remove with Petro based degreaser. It is a good quality product. I recommend depending on product/environment/and coated item is used. The smell is somewhat floral - very low Volatile off gasing. I use a 2" paint brush to apply from a small cup and pour back what I don't use(if it's clean). You can lightly thin up viscosity - I use a little WD-40. Color is tan and gravy like if shaken up before using. Easy to clean Dawn to WD-40 I use gloves 🧤.

Love this stuff. Sprayed it on my truck frame after using POR 15 on it. Acts as a good undercoating. I work for state government as a fleet maintenance mechanic as we use it on our equipment for protection. What I like about it is the self healing it sort of has and when you have to work on your equipment again it doesn’t get so messy to work through like a rubber or tar type undercoating can get. Sprays on good with the right gun.

Very easy to apply with a simple hand sprayer. The coating is thin and atomized easily. But it can sting the eyes and skin so take precautions. Coating turns to a nice sticky wax on my F250 truck frame after 24 hrs when applied around 60 degrees. It is NOT designed for use on components that need to have a shiny, clean appearance. The stuff attracts dust like a magnet but this should not affect its effectiveness. Sprayer and brush clean up was easy with HOT soapy water. I haven't tried to clean up anything that has been treated. I'll update review after the winter.

I machined the flanges on a buddy’s home project at work.We use LPS3 a lot at work and I put a light coat on the faces that I cut.This project has been sitting outside for 3-4 years and has made its way to the woods in storage.The only rust is where it was rubbed off by lifting straps or fork lift rubs.The frame on my Tacoma was recently replaced by Toyota thank you Toyota!I purchased a gallon from pilots HQ and will be treating my frame to it.The gallon arrived quickly and in perfect condition.Very pleased with my purchase!

Great stuff. Doesn’t smell as bad as cosmoline direct. Worked in my battery powered sprayer too.

I tested and used LPS3 on raw metal surfaces, pre-rusted surfaces, and painted surfaces. It 100% seals moisture out while still allowing the metal to release any moisture previously in the metal. I have seen in both rainy, humid and magnesium chloride salt condtions all of the above surface conditions remained the same as they were the day I coated them with LPS3 I wish I knew about this product years ago it would have saved me tens of thousands of dollars. The one and only negative is LPS3 is extreamly hard to remove and will require an industrial solvant and paint scraper.
