not a bad set up
For full disclosure, I am not a gym head or professional body builder; I am a casual exerciser who wants to workout at home. I bought this to replace an older "higher end" brand of weight bench, and I really do like it so far. The ONLY thing I had to get used to is the butterfly handles, as they are not a stationary handle grip like my old bench, but it still works. Just gets some getting used to. I did build this myself in about an hour, but it would definitely be easier with 2 people. I just had to use what I had nearby to help keep things upright while I attached the pieces, but when I did, it was a good, quality build and so far it's a pretty decent bench that does what I want it to. I did have to buy new weight bars but that's no big deal, I was going to do that anyway. The brackets (or whatever they're called) were too wide for my old bar so the bar wouldn't sit, but like I said, I'm glad I bought a new bar for it. Overall, a pretty decent bench for the price range and very sturdy and comfortable. I like it

Excellent customer service
I'm a Senior on SS and ordered this bench to get back to working out! It's perfect for My needs, low cost with the features I need. When the bench arrived, the carton was damaged and the main back cushion was ripped and the curl pad was cut.. With NO HASTLE at all, I contacted Marcy and they immediately shipped new cushions that arrived within days. Thanks to Cesary B. for prompt resolution!!

Meets My Needs... Except for the Leg Curl Feature
I am pleased with how this bench is built. It is sturdy once it was assembled. I am able to use all the attachment features but find the handles for the preacher curl are not comfortable. I removed them and just use the padded cushion without the handles along with dumb bells. The main reason I bought this was because I was very interested in the leg curl and leg extension attachment. The leg extensions are not a problem because I can sit upright to do those. I'm 5' 4", and my feet/legs can reach the rollers by sitting toward the end of the bench. The leg curls require that I lay on my stomach, and where the bench hits my thighs causes bruising and discomfort. I am working on some kind of modification -- like a pillow or piece of foam. Other than the thigh discomfort, the rollers hit my calves/ankles in the right place, and the leg curl is comfortable and effective. Once I can improve the comfort level of my thighs against the bench, I will be 100% happy with this bench. Its uses weighted grips (discs) that (1" diameter hole) which need to be purchased separately -- you can purchase these individually so that you can start with only what you need. I would also recommend purchasing a barbell. This shipped promptly, and the price was fair.

Started Out Good but Not Anymore
This product started out okay for us. I’ve had this item for 2 years. I noticed right away that the set didn’t feel stabile. The single leg in the front of the bench isn’t enough for the suggested weighted. The leg slides back and bends the support bar. I haven’t been able to pull it back out flat. 😩I had to remove the chest fly parts first. The lay were so bent that I was afraid my husband would get hurt using them. Overall the size is good and it’s comfortable it’s just the flimsiness of the chest fly bars, leg extensions that ultimate damaged the structure and now I have to replace it because I didn’t get the warranty 😏

Love it
I am not a professional weight lifter and I don't know what standard sizes are etc. But for home use (garage), this thing has been ideal. It was easy for me to put together (took about 90 minutes). One thing I did notice is the width of the upper bar support. It forces your arms to be closer than you intuitively want them to be when you lift that bar but it's not a deal breaker for me. Maybe a larger man would have an issue with that. But for a 5'5" woman, it's doable. With so many features on this bench, I can keep coming up with exercises and keep adding weight no problem. The cost is great, it's sturdy and most importantly, it delivers. It will allow you to exercise the way it's intended. LOVE it!

Made more for a woman than a man size wise. It’s not expensive but then you have to buy the weights separately which does run the cost up considerably. Lots of pieces to assemble so having a helper is recommended.
