Easy install, quiet and effective
I read a bunch of reviews saying how difficult the install was. That's simply not true. Installed in about 3 minutes maybe. On setting 1 you can't even hear this thing which so quiet. Two and 3 levels get a little louder but still much quieter than the old window fans. Exhaust air and air pushing in both very efficient. The look and style of this is very nice and modern. Highly recommend.

Super duper sleek fan
Easy to install, fan is quiet and powerful. This was perfect solution to a kitchen where externally venting exhaust fan had been replaced by an over-stove microwave with internally filtering fan--useless for serious cooking. Better looking than the usual two-fan window unit and easier to keep out bugs. Foam blocks included to fit unit to window.

Great looking design works well.
Airflow into the room works great and is nice and quiet. I don't understand from other reviews people struggling with the foam spacers. Just put the first spacer in place and push the unit up next to it to hold it in place. The air shutter mechanism was jostled a bit in shipping and the unit made clacking noise when first turned on. This was easily fixed by sticking a screwdriver through the air holes and pushing the shutter up and down until it's aligned again. Works perfect now no noise. Fits great in window with built-in screen. It's nice to know that I can still use the screen to keep bugs out with the unit in the window. My only negative is the suck air out of the room mode does not have a lot of air flow. It's nowhere near as strong as the blowing the air into the room.

Worth the money spent.
I bought this fan primarily to be an exhaust fan for my bathroom. At this time I couldn’t afford to have a traditional exhaust fan placed in the ceiling. The bathroom has a small window, so my regular twin fan where I can set one fan as exhaust and the othe as intake would not fit. This is working to my expectations. I have even used on occasion to bring fresh air in. On some of the that have gotten really hot. I found that when I kept the device in exhaust mode. The bathroom was cooler. And I have not put all of my air conditioners in the windows in my house. I was so pleased with its performance a the size along with the makers providing expanders in the event your window is large than the device. I felt really good about buying another fan. The fans I purchased are white. While I appreciate that the fan comes in white or black. I went with white initially because i purchased the first one for the bathroom. So I got the second one in the same color.

You’re Paying For Design, Not Fan Blow/Exhaust
I did read all reviews. And I hesitated to make this purchase simply due to cost. But I was hopeful. And knowing some negative reviews are written due to not reading directions or just to be negative I took a leap and bought 2.We need 2. We have wide open air flow in all 4 sides of the home due to being on a 100 acre grape farm. And we live on a huge lake, reviving west winds daily without fail. But we do have an older home where air flow was not considered back in the 50s. Having 2 fans to pull in cool air in the am and exhaust warm air late afternoon/evening is essential to keep the house in our comfort zone. Those $25 box fans at Walmart are excellent due to force of air movement. But they don’t fit in windows and they are beyond tolerable with noise. The $50 dual window fans are ideal as they exhaust and pull in air but not with a switch - you have to manually reverse them, they take up 2/3 of window view and allow rain to enter the home thru the vent. Yes, we can use AC but in our state, the first $100 of the bill is all the fees and the companies have elevated their pricing over 30% in last 2 years. So, we need two fans that bring in the air but also exhaust it to stay within our budget.1- These fans DO work. We can’t find anything negative to say about that. During a warm day I reversed 1 fan facing west to exhaust warm air and pull in the cool AM air. It was 82 outside, 68 inside. Very comfortable. By midday, it was warming up inside so I started the 2nd fan. It was 86 outside, 72-74 inside. Still very comfortable. In the evening as the sun set, we reversed the air flow of both fans to bring in cool air from the outside. It was 76 outside by 9pm, 68 inside. And by midnight, it was 72 outside, 65 inside.2- Noise is minimal. You can hear the fan when on. There are 2 settings - low, mid and high. At the highest level the fan is at a comfortable noise level. Can’t hear it throughout the house. Hubby likes it because it’s subtle white noise that helps him sleep.3- Installation is a beast. The installation of the foam side pieces included with the fan is the worst brain idea of any human I’ve seen in a long time. One would think a designer/manufacturer would incorporate the slide left/right shields to fill the gaps on the sides we see in other larger fans. Nope. It’s multiple sided poorly made foam pieces. And if you ever played with the toy that has shape holes and plastic shapes to fit inside - or the game Perfection - this install process takes you right back there. Inserting the fan into the window takes less than 30 seconds. Installing the foam inserts so they fit right and actually stay in place takes the better part of a half hour. And if you remove the fan completely due to a cold spell for a few days, you will dread having to reinsert it. Hubby got scolded for removing the fan I spent an hour installing. He is now ordered to put a pillow in front of the fan if he doesn’t want the cool air to enter the room.4- The cost is absurd for this unit. This is a $25 to $30 fan. Not $70plus. You are paying for the slim low sitting profile. There is no remote or Bluetooth option. We are ok with that. But given the force of air flow in and out as far as the motor is concerned, it equates to a small $20 desk fan.We aren’t sure if we are keeping. We need to give it another week or two when the summer weather is at its truest level in temperature. I should also note we bought new but received used, too. Since these do not come from an Amazon warehouse but from a private seller, shame on the seller for passing off used items as new at new cost. Just my opinion.
