Works great
I replaced a non functioning photocell to control the lights at our barn. It was a simple installation (if you are comfortable with electrical wiring), and it works perfectly. Now the lights go on and night and turn off in the morning again, like they are supposed to do.

Muy bueno
Excelente producto, va muy bien con los focos led, algo lento en su funcionamiento, es decir tapas el sensor para probarlo y no se apaga de inmediato, a los pocos minutos corta la electricidad. Muy bueno

Should last for more than an hour
Installed this (very simple install) to replace an existing photocell switch that was failing to detect daylight unless under direct sunlight. Put the new one in, ran a couple of tests, all seemed well. Went back an hour later to check on it, ran the same tests (black tape / flashlight) and it no longer works. Must be poor electronics. Wound up putting the old one back, as the lights provide safety for our neighborhood.

Why use timers to control your outdoor lights...
Why use timers to control your security outdoor lights ? It seems that I'm always adjusting the on/off time on my timers based on changes caused by DST or just the changing light conditions throughout a year. Some timers can slightly modify the on/off times you have set so it seems as though "there's someone at home/work" turning them on or off... right ? There are also 7 day programmable timers (great for indoor lighting), but they also can be a lot of work ? If your timers don't constantly modify the on/off times slightly, it won't take any possible bad guys long to realize the lights are turning on and off at the same time each day using a timer and perhaps hinting that there might not be anyone home ? Now, this adjustable on/off switch from WOODS turns lights on and off based on the actual light conditions on any given day, which is probably not identical to the day before. Not only will this seemingly uncoordinated control of your outdoor lights confuse anyone watching your place but you will no doubt save some money by having the lights on only when needed and you'll never re-adjust a timer again?
