The stem also came with spacers saving me the expense of having to buy them separately. It works really well and gives you many fine tuning options. It also looks great at a very reasonable cost.

I’m changing a few things on my 1996 mountain bike. I changed out the aggressive tires for more of a hybrid tire, added a more comfy seat, and raised my handlebars to enable a more upright seating position.The stem worked perfectly, aside from having to replace my front brake cable. I had neglected to notice that by raising my handlebars, the existing short cable wasn’t long enough to reach the higher position.Torque requirements are clearly shown printed on the stem. Fit and finish was perfect.

I added this stem riser to get a more upright position without extending the bike length. Yes the screws are large and silver .It weighs much more the the Marin stem it replaced but I think it looks beefy and strong at the front of my bike. I've got about 30 miles on it and it has not failed me after several wipeouts on the trail.If weight isn't an issue this stem works.

Good product but wish it had instructions. While it wasn't that hard, it took me a couple of tries at certain steps to figure it out. For example, I tried to loosen the side hex bolts that were very tight only to soon realize I should NOT have touched them. Not that big a deal but some sort of instruction sheet would have helped.

My bicycle handlebars were out in front of the steering tube, making for a very forward riding position and putting strain on my wrists. This stem let me swing the handlebars back and up for a more upright position. It is such a change that it felt strange mounting the bicycle, and a bit of a tight fit between the handlebar and seat. Once on, it felt great and the strain is gone!I did use one of the rings as this does not fit as far onto the tube as the original stem.

I really needed to change the driving position on my mountain bike for more on-road driving with a more upright stance. This fit the need and my bike. It allowed me to move the handlebars up about 5 inches!! compared to the previous position, plus almost 3 inches back toward the seat. That is an entire bike conversion in one package. And it's adjustable, so you can make it more or less forward and high depending on your ride. I used one of the included spacing rings to fit the handlebar mount, so glad they included them. I'm not an aggressive rider, so I haven't stressed the assembly a lot. It is absolutely good for my ride while looking like it might be a bit lower in absolute strength than the original equipment. For my comfort and riding position on more on-street riding, I love it. I'd have needed a new bike without it.

I bought this as an upgrade for my e-bike. I like this product a lot. It was easy install and came with shims to ensure the right fit in connecting to the fork.

I’ve already purchased 2 of these stems. They’re useless pieces of metal that serve no purpose. I urge you to look elsewhere.
