New Complete Sailing Manual Hardcover – April 4, 2005

I am almost done reading, reviewing this book and find it excellent! Well written, informative, detailed yet not overwhelming. Perfect for somoeone like myself who despite a dream of sailing, knew almost nothing on the subjet, has recently been taking sailing courses and intends to get much more into sailing. I am sure it will also make a good reference book once I actually get on board in a few months!

This is a great book for beginning and intermediat sailors. The book has an awful lot of information, even advanced sailors might find it helpful and I would recommend it to sailing instructors. Of course, it is not `complete'but the book covers a lot of different topics. The best part of the book are the numerous illustrations and photos. They really help when you are not yet familiar with the terms that are specific to sailing. Most of the information is focused on Dinghy sailing because most beginners would start with that.

I've long enjoyed this resource- solid information, clearly presented, and lavishly illustrated with good photos, charts, and diagrams.If you are a beginner, you will enjoy the easy to read and understand info that covers a great breadth of sailing know-how. Experienced folks will still mine nuggets of info that are beneficial.

Covers a lot of areas pretty well. Easy to follow for a novice. Handy for quick reference. I like it I am sure I will refer to it a lot in the future.

A gift for an aspiring sailor .. he loves the thoroughness, and simplicity of explanations.

I'd recomend this for any beginner sailor. I have purchased at leat 10 of these for give aways when people visit.

This was the best price on a book I have wanted for a long time. It was also in perfect shape.
