A must-have guide to get an easy schooling life!
Seeing the volume of work the author has created just on this topic of learning, I can imagine his lifelong enthusiasm in learning and in changing the traditional education learning methods. A very useful guide for me to reflect on how I’ve taught myself, my own kids and my students. A must read for all parents who want to have an easier life when their kids know how to take care of their own study!

it is very insightful
it repeats some things from his other book on how to learn like einstein. but it goes more in depth so it is insightful and good to take notes on how to take notes.

Every student should read this!
Excellent, informative book! So many people don't really know how to study. I used to be one of them. I got this so that I can help my adult learners develop their study skills. I'll recommend this book to them and everyone else who is a student.

Not what I expected
This was my own fault. I thought I was getting the A+ Guide to Study Skills. This is nowhere near the quality of that book.

Studying and motivation
Who likes studying? I don't know about you, but it's a pretty tedious thing to do for me. However, this book can motivate you to make it something you don't dread. It can be fun! I liked that there are possibilities to increase my learning, memory and testing skills, and this book goes into them.Academics are important for a good foundation, so I recommend this book to anyone wanting to learn in life. Very informative read!

Insightful!
Insightful. I wish I read this book while in high school allowing to master these skills into college and university. I always crammed for tests and usually got a good score. I'm glad I came across this book. This book definitely made me a better student.

Map for success that's clear and easy to follow
Don't you love reading a how-to book that uses its own techniques? This book is a guide to the process of learning, and how to maximize it--and uses those techniques to help you digest and retain the information presented. At the end of each chapter, there's a a brief summary or "takeaways" of the most important points. At the end of the book, there's a summary to the guide which puts all the takeaways from each chapter into an easy to read list. This way you learn the details, then review a summary of each chapter, and at the end of all the chapters, you review a summary of all the information. This guide proves that one of the most effective ways to understand and thereby learn is for the subject matter to be well organized and clearly presented--as it is here. There's tons of good advice about how to be a better and active listener, how to make the material stick, study and exam tips. I particularly enjoyed the focus on multiple choice exams versus essay exams. I was always better at essay exams than multiple choice, and now that I understand the different approaches I better understand why. I wish I had had this book in high school or better yet middle school. Great for any parent wanting to help themselves or their child be a better student. Highly recommend.
