This is not the quietest inline fan on earth, but I'm using it to remove fumes from a laser engraver that has built in fans considerably louder than this fan unit so it's plenty quiet enough for my purposes. It moves a lot of air, more than enough if you're looking for a laser engraving fume extractor. The speed setting dial is garbage, it has a real nice solid feel to it but it basically has "off" "max" "a little less than max" as the speeds it will actually dial in for you. Again if you're looking to fume extract for laser engraving this is not a problem at all. The fan blades are less than 2 inches from the open end, so either hook up a line on both sides of the fan, put a grate on it, or plan to lose some fingertips because this fan rips and it doesn't have an "I better look out for people's fingers" setting. I love it for what it is though, a nothing fancy strong fan that will move plenty of air. Would recommend, would buy again!

The fan is a little louder than I thought. But it works great. I have 4 flowering plants and when the tent is closed the room doesn't smell like the morning after a party. These flowers have a strong odor. You know...

This system is acceptable. It works and it has made my grow tent much better. Word of caution the filter assembly could be better. I sliced my finger open from the stainless steel mesh. There was a edge sticking out. I should have been more careful but just watch your fingers. It was cheap and it works I hope it lasts. deducted a star due to slicing my finger.

This is a must have item if you 3D print in your house. Totally removes the harsh fumes and allows you to work in the same room while printing. The whole package was easy to install in about 5 minutes. The blower is very quiet and moves a good amount of air, the duct work is good quality, and the filter has completely removed the smells and fumes. This would also work good for your home growing and keep the neighbors from smelling what your growing.

Got this fan just in time for thanksgiving dinner. It worked great. It was nice and quiet and moved enough air. Then last night, after almost three months of use, it suffered an uncontained turbine failure on startup. As near as I can tell, the housing spontaneously separated and fell into the impeller, fracturing it and ejecting a piece that flew across the kitchen. I don't recall the housing at the time of installation being as loose as it is now. If I were to buy another one of these, I think i would wrap the housing seam with tape to prevent this from occurring. I was pleased with the product until it spontaneously shredded itself with all the fervor of an emo goth who's mom won't let 'em wear their spiked collar to school.

The media could not be loaded. This is perfect for the price, it straight up sucks and blows smoke from laser engravers very well, and it is a bit loud but not too bad, and it is easy to move if it is not mounted, the only problem is there are some air leaks in the frame for me, so just put some installation tape over it.

I do not recommend this product as a fan is extremely weak and compared to other units for the same price you can get something much better and stronger. I do not believe it is 195 CFM as I just purchased another product with 225 CFM and it is more that 2x stronger! Thw filter works fine and helps the smell alot. Its also very quiet but that is to be expected with such a weak fan system. Even for the price I do not feel its a great value as I have found much better products that are smaller, stronger and fit better.
