Great sound and build quality
Excellent speakers with a great sound. A little faff connecting them to my A8000 soundbar (ignore the instructions and use the app). They really bring the sound to life compared to the soundbar only.May well buy the sub-woofer next to complete the set up.

Good quality, great sound
Bought to match my sound bar. Solid build. Fairly compact as sub-woofers go. Set up was very simple using the Bravia app. Linked immediately. Control via remote or the app. Plenty of power when turned up. It is very noticeable when it’s not turned on. When it’s balanced correctly it is not immediately obvious that it’s on unless something with big base like an explosion is on the tv, then you really feel it.Reasonable value for money, mid range price.

Huge difference from RS3
When I got the Sony 7000 Sound bar and Subwoofer, I purchased the RS3 with them as rear speakers. I was so disappointed with the sound and did not feel it reflected what I paid for.My old system was the Bose Life 650, it's 5.1 Surround; The Sony promised a Dolby Atmos and 7.1 setup.I was going to remove it but before I decided to test it with the RS5 as rear speakers. The difference was INSANE, it suddenly came to life. Sound was coming from every direction, It felt like a 9.1 setup!Anyone reading this , do not bother with the RS3 it's a waste of money, go directly for the RS5 for your setup.

(3.5⭐) Good sound - but I lose PCM (headphones) if I use these - & what us is the battery for!!!
I am using these with the new HT-A9000 soundbar and a Bravia TV.These rear speakers themselves are very good... albeit VERY, VERY expensive for what they are.And part of that expense has to be because that have a 10 hr battery - WHY exactly have they got a battery? You are going to have to have them on continual charge anyway because the battery doesn't last a day - so WHY even bother with the battery, just keep them mains powered to help reduce the cost.As for the setting up, then in order to get sound out them, these need to be using 5:1 audio - and once you set that on the Bravia TV, then that cuts off the OPTICAL PCM output I use for my headphones. As in order to use headphones AND hear the sound from the TV, you must use the OPTICAL PCM output - using the headphone socket automatically CUTs the TV audio output. So when they are in use, they do provide very good surround sound, but I would NOT recommend these if you want/need to use the OPTICAL output of a Bravia TV AS WELL as hearing the TV audio output - you can only use Speakers/Soundbar OR Optical Headphones, can't use both at the same time - which I could with my previous HT-A7000.So I have marked/rated these rear speakers as 3.5 ⭐ - good surround sound but overpriced because of the needless batteries and will only work with 5:1 audio and thereby lose the optical output on the Bravia TV.

Incredible clean bass
Brought to accompany & complete the Sony HT-A5000 & SA-RS3S package. This takes the sound bar & rear speakers to another level..the sub is rather large but looks fantastic and adds that extra depth & boom to films I never new existed.I live in a flat so keep the sub on 7 as any louder would probably upset the neighbours.Very happy with the subwoofer & the whole system works extremely well together.
