AILE Digital Thermometer
Product works great , batteries supplied. Reason for purchase is that using my temperature device which I place in my ear I get a different reading for each ear. I have a digital thermometer which I place in my mouth but my temps seem so low these days even when dealing with colds (unless Covid) that I felt that I needed an inexpensive backup device to verify things.Really needed an item like this when my father was ill , the other devices did not work with him due to his age and for what ever other reasons but you can point this thing at your chest (often a true place to gauge a temperature as per NHS guidelines ) and get a result. There are I believe certain conditions that prevent a temperature from showing up on many devices but this average priced item does the job.

Good
As a nurse myself I am a bit sceptical if this is NHS approved as it feels quite LIGHTI've actually tested it for accuracy and do feel it is performing well and gives a great indication of forehead temperature so you can assess/estimate how high the core temp could be .Brilliant for young children who won't have a ear temp done without getting beside themself in tears. My grandson likes having it taken and loves to do mine too now.Handy and reasonable pricedLike the fact that it uses normal batteries too.

It’s cheap but appears to work okay?
This is so flimsy and feels like toy and so I don’t have a huge amount of faith in it. BUT I used it for a period of about a month whilst I was monitoring for a serious infection and it appeared to give accurate readings, was easy to use, I have no complaints. It always said that my temperature was okay and I never got the serious infection so I have to assume it worked fine! I think the cheap plastic nature of the product makes you think it’s not very good, but actually it does the job.

Does what it says on the box.
My 9 month old son's recently been ill so we recently got this to help keep an eye on his temperature. It took too much effort trying to use the manual thermometer on a baby while they were agitated. It's so much easier to point and click. It seems accurate enough. I compared the readings to the manual thermometer and its +/- 0.2 degrees difference between the 2. Only downside is that it feels a bit cheap. But you get what you pay for. Would recommend. Not sure whether this particular brand/make is really recommended by the NHS. I work in an NHS Trust and the ones at work feel more robust.Edit. Spoke too soon, I've changed the review to 1 star. I thought the readings were quite accurate to begin, but the more I used it, ut became more apparent its acrually not very accurate. My whole family were struck down with the flu and we used this to measure our temperature. Apparently we were all 36.2 degrees C even though we were all clearly burning up. The manual thermometer confirmed we were all above 38degrees C. Bit disappointed, so its going back.
