Excellent Lighting at an affordable price
Love these lights in my vivariums. Low profile, dimmable, colour profile choices. Plants seem to be growing well. Great value for the money.

bright
so far this light works very well. plants seem to like it, as seedlings will start to grow after only a few days. lets hope it last for a very long time. my other nicrew is still going after 3 years.

Works great for the price!
Love the light and timer! Only gave it a 4 because there are 2 minor things I don’t like. The ramping (brightening and dimming) is choppy. Is not a smooth transition, its like it has stages. But still way better than on or off! Other thing I don’t like is that it doesn’t hold the time in a power failure. It remembers all your settings, just not the time. Minor things I know, but still.

SkyLED PLUS review + comparison with classicLED PLUS
This affordable light is very bright for the price you’re paying. Definitely +1 for value. The tank I have it on is 16 inches deep for reference. To turn the light off you must hold down the “m” button in the middle for three seconds, unlike a conventional dedicated on/off switch. To add on, the build is quite sturdy, does not feel cheap. The skyled plus (labeled SP in the attached photo) is a tad bit brighter compared to the classicLED PLUS (labeled CP). Both are more than adequate for growing plants 100%. I like how the skyled plus is dimmable, useful if you find it too bright for the fish or you’re experiencing algae growth due to the intensity. On the other hand, the classicLED plus is just on or off. For this reason I would pick the skyled plus over the latter. To add on, it is also nearly half the width of the classicLED plus, thus taking less room on top. Good for the minimalist look. The unit does get quite hot but nothing to be alarmed or concerned about.Final rating: 9.5/10I don’t have any complaints. Perhaps a built-in timer would be nice, but for the price point that’s asking for a lot!

I love these lights!
I have 7 fish tanks now and 4 of them have these lights. The programming ability is VERY cool. I have them all sync'ed (since you input the current time) and so they all act at the same time! On one, I even had to adjust the brightness down about 25% as algae was building up. Algae was nearly gone in a week and still has enough light for the plants. Great lights with the easy to use programmable remote. I don't have a lot of experience with other brands but did get one of those Hygger ones with the 3 buttons, when my buddy gave me his whole setup. I've yet to research or read how to set it (LOL) and just guess about the time I want it to transition. Anyway, all my plants seem to be doing very well with this lighting. An enhancement request... the wire frame extendy things that reach to either side of your tank are low to the water surface. I would like a set of wire frames that would put them about 6 to 8 inches OVER the tank. Not sure how they can engineer that cost effectively. What I did was pull them out, take it to my bench vise, and just bent them where I wanted... but that changes how they fit to the edge because of the bends. One drawback, if I'm to nit-pick. We had some bad storms a few days ago and we lost power. When the power even glitches, these things reset their time to midnight (I think it was) but didn't seem to lose any of the custom settings... But is that even a problem? Maybe future models could have a little backup battery supply for this sort of event. I've heard places like California can experience many brown-outs, so I imagine it can become tedious to have to always reset the time. Doesn't happen often here, so no worries. So if power glitches at night, I guess it's good to reset to midnight so all your tanks don't suddenly come to life while you're sleeping! LOLHope that helps. Get them, you won't be disappointed!
