We laid this down on my daughter's floor as she's a teenager looking to go into professional tap/jazz/ballet (or teaching it) and she is always in need of a place to practice. This worked perfectly! I was on the edge though because some of the reviews talk about the "wave" or the bumpiness caused as it's unrolled.It's PVC-ish, so just like anything in that category, it needs to be "re-stretched" with use. The first day it may have a bit of a wave to it, but use it for a week and re-tape it down, and most of them go away. Repeat this again the next week and the floor is flat.The other way of doing it is how the install Marley professionally; they use a heat gun and "stretch" (gently) the flooring as they put it down and tape it. While I didn't do this technique, I've watched it done many times with this product and it works the same as re-stretching. It's one-and-done that way, but it probably takes a little more time up front to figure out the best setting on the heat gun to massage out the wrinkles.Overall the packaging was perfect, no imperfections on the mat at all. As with anything "rolled" up - no different than a poster - it will have to relax a bit to get it uniformly flat. And again, you can do that by heat or simply by re-taping it (and stretching it) every so often as it sits. Either way, this is the same quality as competitive-level Marley so I highly recommend it!

I really like the size! It stays under the ladder better

Received the product today, rolled it out, and it’s ready for use. As expected, we did have to weigh the corners (as it was rolled). However, contrary to others’ reviews, there were no wrinkles from the roll being “flatten” as some had described. And I expect after some time unrolled (and corners weighted) it will lay flat on our hardwood living room floor.Great product and plenty large enough for our little hard shoe Irish step dancer!Would definitely recommend. Good value!

Ordered two the same size and one was definitely smaller than the other. Lined them up and immediately noticed the discrepancy. Makes it hard to evenly cover your surface.

We were excited to get this mat for our daughter. It came rolled up in the box and when we laid it out both ends curled up and did not lay flat on the ground. We were hoping a bit of time would help it "relax" and lay flat, but to no avail. Here's what it looks like after about a month. The surface works well for us, but this is going to go back as it's a tripping hazard.

I purchased this floor for my girls whom dance. We set it up in the garage and tapped it down with appropriate taping products. Has not shown any signs of wear thus far. My girls reports they are able to turn well as they were at their dance studio. It is not too bulky and we actually rolled it up and brought it with us on a vacation where my daughter needed to practice.

My daughter wanted Marley to practice on at home. This has worked well. It took a little bit of time to lay flat, but she put weights on the ends for a few days and it didn’t take long. Good price point, good purchase.
