PHILIPSSeries 1000 Dry Men's Electric Shaver with PowerCut Blades, Blue Malibu

Bought this for my husband, it is the 2nd one he has had. Works well and gives a good close shave, charged by plug, good value an all round good item!

It has most basic function. The space under the blades is good. It works but not as sharp as my previous one, which is a newer design and more expensive than this one. Considering that the price is low, I would recommend this product.

Good points, Easy to charge and seems to hold charge well. Does the job eventually.Bad points - feels very light and the cutting blades sound very tinny, I thought this was just me but they also cut poorly and it takes me longer to shave than using my old cable Philishave. Will not cut white stubble hair without a lot of effort. No cleaning brish or case for it. Quite dissappointed overall.

Item was competitively priced and delivered on time

It doesn't cope very well with my fairly thick stubble. I expected far better from such a big brand. Very disappointing. The blades might not be quite that sharp either, but the motor is definitely too weak, even when plugged in. On battery it is even weaker still. It takes many passes to do a half-decent job, and that means wasting 20 minutes on a maximum 10 minute job, for a not even quite satisfactory result. I read such a review elsewhere that warned about this problem, did not believe it, but I should have.Returned it as it is not really fit for its intended purpose.

Razor works fine. Trimmer’s handy, but not that powerful, has trouble along sideburns.
