Grandson birthday gift. He said he wanted something about space and so we got him this book. He opened it it and started looking through it and wouldn't stop. There were more presents but he was enamored withthis amazing book. The colors, the pop-ups, everything!! Would hightly recommend this for a boy or girl who is interested in space and space flight.

Amazing book about space
We like this book a lot. It explains very well a lot of things about space and astronauts and it is interactive. My kid likes to spend some time reading it together moving all the things around. Very high quality!

Whoa! What a great book for any kiddo who loves space!
One of our grandsons is a space kid! Loves everything to do with space and this book was a real find! The illustrations are incredible and the little doors he could open were such fun, plus the information taught me a lot too! Highly recommend the book!!!

There's Nothing bad to say about this book. Right now my 5-year-old Nephew is all about space and black holes, he loves this book, it is one of his go-to books at bedtime.

Lots of Interesting Information, Fun Interactive Elements, Pull Tabs Get Stuck Often Though
My 4 year old daughter loves the planets and any book she can get her hands on about space, so she's really been enjoying this book. This hardcover book is large in size and the pages are mildly thick. There are lots of pull tabs, dials to turn (really cool to see the multiaxial chair within the rocket spin the astronaut around), and flaps to lift on things like the astronaut's space suit, rockets, and the planets. There is lots of information covered in this book including some constellations, observatories, inside space travel mechanisms within the rocket, a history of rockets that have launched to space, the international space station, what the Earth looks like from space, the solar system, moon voyages, and the Milky Way. It's all fascinating information, even for an adult and is a great learning tool for kids. I've included some photos of some of the interactive elements on the pages. I originally added about 6 pictures of the pages, but it looks like Amazon deleted some of them for some reason.Because there is so much information covered in sometimes lengthy paragraphs and because of the fragility of the flaps and tabs, this book is definitely not for kids younger than 4 or 5 years old. The illustrations are very colorful and engaging and the interactive aspect of it is fantastic at keeping a child's attention. I'm giving it 4 stars because the pull tabs are very difficult to operate without tearing them, even for an adult because they get stuck quite often and when I pulled one of them gently, it lifted completely off the spot where it was glued down. Out of all of the pull tabs, there's maybe one or two that don't get stuck every time, which is frustrating for a kid. Lastly, the flaps are made of very thin cardstock, so they can rip easily.Aside from these quality issues, we really like the book and read it often. It's a great book for any pre-K through elementary school age child to learn more about space.
