ARLO Arlo VMC2330-100NAR Essential Spotlight Wireless 3 Camera Kit – 1080p, White(Renewed)

Ever since I got the first one I’ve been a fan of these. The video quality is very good. You can see well on the dark even with out the light.Very easy to connect to your WiFi or a Hub.

After researching home security cameras I was torn between the Blink cameras and Google. Then I ran across the Arlo cameras. After reading the reviews and going back and forth I decided to go with the Arlo cameras. I did purchase the Arlo base so I could connect the cameras directly to the base and have a flash drive for backup. This prevents me from having to subscribe to a plan. Setup was fast and easy. It did however take a couple of days to figure out how to stop tons of alerts. We have chickens and dogs and the cameras were going off like crazy. I had to contact support for help and they were great. Support gave me step by step instructions on how to disable the alerts and only get alerts that we wanted (vehicles and people). I highly recommend the Arlo Essential Spotlight Cameras, plus you’ll be saving a lot on your pocket book and still be getting that high quality security that your looking for!

Ordered these cameras from Amazon and two sets of solar panels to keep them charged. When looking at them on their sight my biggest concern was that the battery was removable and the same as the battery in my existing Arlo cameras. Amazons ad showed the cameras being removed, so I ordered them along with the solar panels. Upon receipt of this product I quickly realized the batteries were not removable and the solar panels did not work with this particular style of Arlo cameras. That same day I repackaged them in the same box they were all shipped in and returned them them via the UPS store. Because several different items with several different bar or QRC codes were in the same box as they were shipped to me the person at the UPS store insisted on taking them all out. She applied the QRC code to the respective items and the cameras were in two boxes one with one camera and one with 4 cameras. She put both of those boxes in to the original box that they had been shipped in and applied the bar code to that box. Within hours I received credit for the items ( brackets and solarPanels) that the QRC code was applied and a few days later received a credit for the one camera that came in its (Arlo) box by itself. I did not receive a credit for the other four cameras that were in their original (Arlo) box. I contacted Amazon and they show the order/return was still pending. This was weeks ago and I still see that it is still pending. I’m beginning to think that this item may have been taken from the original Amazon box that both (Arlo) boxes were in and stolen somewhere down the line or it was misplaced by return employees and not processed properly. All I know is I returned 4 cameras and never got reimbursed for them and it has been too long. I have witnesses as to what transpired at the UPS store when they left my hands and have the UPS receipt. I don’t know what transpired after that but I have my suspicions. A little help from Amazon would be appreciated. I’m tired of waiting.

It was easy to set up and add to my existing hub via the app. I had two cameras set up and working in less than 10 minutes. A great addition to my existing system. Great quality and adjustability.

I like my 5-Arlo Pro 2 cameras. Motion detection and clarity are very good. This Arlo Essential w/spotlight is a huge step up for me. Cons: The motion detection, including the distance, is not as sensitive as my Pro 2. It didn't catch the group of deer in the driveway or when the recycling truck came by for the pickup. I had to increase the sensitivity to 100% and it still didn't catch the marauding raccoons. I'm sure the high sensitivity probably is affecting the battery life. The battery lasted 35 days. Seriously. The spotlight is a nice feature but is virtually useless. Pros: The clarity and night vision are very good. Camera charging is okay. The battery was down to 1% and is at 50% in 45 minutes.

I love Arlo cameras, they're great, and this was a fairly good deal. That said, only 3 of the 4 cameras worked. The 4th one straight out of the box wouldn't ever make it passed its first software update, so could never be used. Arlo Support was unfortunately not very helpful in the issue.The other 3 work great. They're resilient against all kinds of weather, have long lasting batteries that recharge quickly (i recharge mine for 30min every 4-5 months, if I have them recording constantly it's more like every 1-2 months), the night vision is great. Would have given it 5 stars if I ended up with 4 working cameras.

I like the light it shines at night to illuminate what's in sight.
