I've tried several different brands, and up until this brand, my little Jack-Whippet's teeth would still accumulate tartar. Happily, she is more than willing to lay on her back while I gently clean her teeth with a dental pick, but I would really rather not have to do this.This is the first pet toothpaste that actually does keep my dogs teeth from tarter buildup.I gave it 3 stars for scent, only because I bought the cheese flavored version and it really does smell funky (at least to me, my dog loves it). It does not give your dog funky breath, it just linger on my dogs breath, but if I get even a tiny bit on my hands while cleaning her teeth, I have to scrub it off with soap and water to eliminate the odor.The package includes a small swab for applying it to your dogs teeth and gums, but I don't use that. I continue to use a small soft toddler toothbrush, and just put a little dab of the toothpaste on it and then gently scrub it across her gums and teeth. Works great.

My dogs love the taste they see it as a treat not treatment. I have 1 dog that has bad tarter and has to go to the vet for cleaning often, but you can see a visible difference just brushing with this product. They love it so much they remind me they need their teeth brushed.

I wish I could have taken a before picture so I can have a reference but I am seeing great improvement in my dogs teeth. Only thing I dislike is the cheese flavor has a very stinky smell. Other than that, I love it!

We’ve been using the rotisserie chicken one and it’s been great. Decided to switch it up and try the cheese flavor and oh man. It’s not an unpleasant smell necessarily but it really gives you that cheese smell that is pretty potent.

I like the brand and the toothpaste, however, this particular cheese toothpaste is very smelly. It smells like artificial cheese and leaves a very strong residual scent that is very off-putting. Whatever this toothpaste touches, you will be smelling it and the smell does not go away. I do not notice a difference in how much my cats like this toothpaste compared to other flavors so I will stick with the less pungent flavors in the future.

My dog doesn't like the taste and I dont like the smell. Otherwise not sure if it works or not.

What else does one need to know except that it REALLY works? I have been using Petsmile daily on my two Shepherds' teeth since they were eight weeks old. Their teeth are so clean that I have been stopped by other dog owners to ask me what I use to clean my dogs' teeth. Their teeth are so clean that my vet has told me that there is no need to do a teeth cleaning under anesthesia (I was skeptical so I checked with a veterinary dentist who confirmed my vet's opinion). I will never stop using this product on my dogs.
