This is an impressive Spartan sword by Combat Commander/United Cutlery. Great fit and finish. Sharpened just right. Its not razor sharp, but that's ok. I wouldn't chop wood with this, but the small saplings behind my shed wont stand a chance.I'm a big guy and the handle has plenty of room. If you have small hands this sword might feel oversized and heavy. But to me that's a good thing.Very happy with my purchase and would buy this again as a gift for the Leonidas in my family :DNote: not shown in the pictures here is the nylon sheath that comes with this sword. It has that hard plastic section at the end. Its a good quality sheath as we expect from Combat Commander line of blades.

A long sexy hunk of steel with good grip. You'll need to hang on as its forward weight will help with acceleration. Can we call this a knife? It's really a sword or the coolest looking garden slayer (machete). It was love at first sight, but once I got my hands on it, it was true love. Excellent quality for a good price. Trust me, I looked at every knife on Amazon for months. It also comes with a decent lightweight nylon sheath.

You will need to drill holes in the blade to create a better balance - get a titanium, diamond-tipped bit, it really is a sturdy item. As it's currently weighted, it's more of a weapon of intimidation, provided you don't swirl it around too much as it can look clumsy.

This spartan sword is very well made and very tough. It’s a little thicker than a machete but a little thinner than a sword. It’s flexible and springs back into shape like new. The blade is very sharp and easy to sharpen. It’s very forward heavy, given the design, so it hits almost like an axe. The grip is very comfortable and secure.The only issue I had with mine was that it came out of the box with a noticeable warp and bend in the blade. Since it’s so springy, it’s extremely difficult to bend straight by hand. Could be a quality control issue with my particular one. Besides that, it’ll serve very well if you happen to get a straight one.

I just received my saber/sword today. I immediately unpacked it and observed numerous flaws in the blueing and in the steel. The sword was pitted and scratched. I applied a bit of oil to see if some of the blemishes could be removed to no avail. The sword was dull with no point to it. The lower stats on the review were more correct than the higher stars. The grip/handle is very large and my hand slips within it. This will eventually become a garage wall hanger. Low cost/ cheap product.
