Got these converters so quick! I have a bunch of lightening cables and upgraded to a new iPhone Rather than order new cables I ordered these. They work so good ! What’s really nice I can use the same cable to charge my iPhone and iPad !

Cable worked for 3 months, now when you connect the cable to a monitor a message comes up to download an app. the app is in chinese and it does not work, rendering the cable useless

The cable works as intended, but I had to remove my iphone case for it to fit. I eventually just trimmed the rubber around the lightning plug to allow it to fit into my phone with the case still on.

I am an instructor for a local college and I have had one of these for many years. I wanted another in case by chance I should leave this adapter somewhere in a classroom or off campus location. So glad I was able to purchase one so easily. These last forever!

If you want to project your iPhone or iPad images to a larger screen via this cable, it will likely be just fine.For example, to see your browser pages, or your photos.But if you wish to view videos from Netflix or Amazon or other apps, it does not work.I appreciate the fact that they were honest about this on their web page where they say"Due to HDCP copyright protection, the lightning to hdmi adapter does not support the Apps such as Netflix/HBO GO/Affinity Player/Prime/Hulu/DIRECTV and other Paid Videos" but not all potential buyers may read these details and appreciate this significant limitation.If you don't need this feature, this may be a high quality product and worthy of a 4 or 5 score, but once I realized I could not use it for video, I gave up and will likely not use this much if at all.This may be a similar limitation of other similar devices.I did not get to test sound quality and did very limited testing of picture quality, and gave the product the scores shown in my review based on this limited experience.The other main challenge is that it does not include adequate instructions on how to stream to your external monitor. I eventually figured it out, and will describe my experience in case it is helpful for others.On my iPad Pro, open Control Center by swiping down from the top-right corner of your screen.Select Screen Mirroring and then select Drong OTG Adaptor.

I needed to play a YouTube video in my Sunday School class. It mirrored my iPhone screen onto the TV screen until I started the video. The video automatically filled the TV screen, while the iPhone retained the operating controls. The picture quality was good, and the sound quality was even better. It was literally a plug and play experience.
