Good bread
I liked the bread, it had a nice chew and good flavor, it was a bit on the dry side and stale. But lightly toasted it was ok. Reminded me of the bread we use to have in Chicago, Thanks

By the time this product got to me it was moldy and edible at all!

Going on permanent reorder
Loved the flavor; loved texture and sturdiness. Only problem was a large hole where rye and pumpernickel dough did not mix in together. Made spreading on my pb&j a challenge!

Kind of Blah!
Being an emigre from Luxembourg and having grown up with French, Belgian, German pastries and bread this is certainly kind of blah!And unless kept in fridge turns green tight away, not a good thing!To me not “Gourmet” at all, rather a bit dry, not even close to some of the breads I have had!

Bread Better than your Mother used to make!
Bread was Wonderful but could have been packaged better for shipment . Bread was received squeezed flat in the box but the flavor made up for the shape. Yummy!

Beautiful looking bread, but...
Well, I had high hopes for this bread, and it is beautiful bread, but for me, the taste just is not there. It was delayed in shipping by at least one day, so it was baked and shipped on Wed. and didn't get to me, 300 miles away, until Sat. They ship priority mail and the box is a little small for the thickness of the bread. The crust is a bit tough, and it is a bit dry but the biggest surprise and disappointment, other than taste, was that there are whole grains in it. I can't eat whole grains (ostomy). Lots of people can't so I am surprised that this is not disclosed by the bakery. I will go back to Katz's for their excellent rye and not bother trying the other breads from this bakery. For all I know these people bake for Katz's but the difference in taste, texture and freshness is remarkable. I need great taste, no seeds and fast shipping! However I must add that Gourmet Market is a very responsive and concerned seller and answers questions quickly.

Rye bread
My favorite bread especially when you toast the bread for a good tomato sandwich. Little pricey, but would recommend to my friends.
