Not optimal for fps
The most comfortable headset I have ever used, incredibly light and yet a quality build. Doesn't pinch, pull or press, and wearing them for hours upon hours out of the box was no trouble. I wear glasses under the headset, this has caused no irritation at all for me- although I do have lightweight and thin frames. It's filtering out most the background noise from our home, I can't hear the door bell or TV but I can hear the dog barking.Out of the box this headset does NOT have good sound for FPS/survival. The depth/direction is impossible to pinpoint. Where I (with Sennheiser Game One) used to be able to point out shots on the exact number on the compass, I now will have a sort of "south-south west ish" sort of idea where sounds are coming from. And the distance is much harder to pinpoint. Out of the box they could be anywhere, even above me, it was a complete mess. To combat this you HAVE TO install Dolby Atmos via the Windows Store, it will then auto-sort the license and apply spatial sound in Windows. You can then tweak it in the Dolby app to sound much better for whatever game you are playing. Before doing this I literally couldn't tell if the sound came from left or right, it was just everywhere and above all at once. Some sounds will sound more metal-y and "thin" than you are used to if you are coming from a higher quality headset, and with the added Dolby Atmos the overall sound levels will be a bit lower than it is from the box. Still more than loud enough though, as it's borderline too loud out of the box.For playing strategy games, watching youtube, chatting etc, it's an amazing headset and needs very little adjustments. It's ready to go with the iCUE software, where there are a couple presets to choose from. The microphone is great out of the box, needed nothing at all. It does mute itself sometimes a couple times a week, I don't know why, I just have to troubleshoot the mic in windows and it will unmute it.Turn off all and any light effects to have longer battery life. The battery isn't that big, likely to ensure it's a lightweight headset. Any lighting will drain the battery and you don't see the lights anyway. I have it all off, when I am on a gaming binge I easily get 8 hours of play time and still not fully depleted at that point. I see others mentioning only getting 6 hours out of them but that has not been the case for me. You can choose how long it will stay active before automatically shutting off, which is great, I put mine to 10 minutes but could probably do with just 5 to save even more battery. Turns on in 2 sec anyway. All in all I am very pleased with the headset, just wish the positional audio was a lot better as I do play a lot of FPS/survival games where that is key. If that part of the audio was on point from the start this would be a smash hit for me. I will keep this as it's super comfy and I needed to go wireless, and the audio is good enough now that it's been tweaked. I would recommend getting this on a discount/from the Amazon warehouse if you are getting it. If positional audio is more important to you and you can miss a little of the comfort, the Pro X is maybe the better choice in the same price range.

Big upgrade from the hs70’s
So i have owned a pair of hs70 pro’s for years now, apart from the wear and tear of the ear cups (which are easily replaceable) and the obvious battery life issues after years of use, i loved them. But i thought it’s time to treat myself to an upgrade, and im glad i did, the hs80s not only look better than the hs70 pros, but they are more stylish, comfortable, durable, the mic quality is an upgrade from the hs70 pros, the audio is very similar but with the added feature of dolby atmos. The battery life is second to none, i did my fair share of research before purchasing as i wanted to be sure i was making the right decision, and although i read up about battery life issues, i can say i have had no issues so far with my pairs battery life. I think i have rambled on enough, if you’re an anxious paranoid corsair fan who isn’t sure about upgrading, i can promise you that the hs80’s exceeded my expectations and they will yours too.

Great headphone but...
The headphone is not bad with sound quality, comfortable of the ear cushion, neat wireless connection distant to make yourself coffee and so on. (There are other review with pros)The only downside is..ICUE app for sound custom is a bit bugged so use dolby atmos for custom sound. The microphone is kinda okay but i just prefer using standalone mic like TONOR or Hyper x mic which has more clear voice quality. The headphone battery life only last for 20 hours which i tested so meh.

Short and sweet review for a great headset
I don't feel like much needs to be written about this headset because I've fully fallen in love with it.The main reason being the microphone, man it sounds better than a lot of wired headsets I've had in the past and blows the majority of the wireless competitors out the water, some of which cost way more than this.Battery life is great, charging is quick enough, you can always use it plugged in via USB C if you forget to keep it topped up.I find it really comfortable, I have large ears and it doesn't cause much discomfort and they still fit inside the cups. The headband is great and I've worn it for hours without feeling discomfort or getting hot ears.Audio quality is great, getting the right EQ for you in the ICUE software is recommended, you can click the volume wheel to cycle between profiles if that tickles your pickle. If you're an audiophile, it won't live up to much compared to a dedicated great wired headset and DAC, but for a wireless set it's definitely enough.Speaking of ICUE, it's probably one of the better software's out there, you can customise a far bit in the app itself, Corsair also offer this voice changing software you can use for free or pay for more voices if you're an aspiring vtuber or want to annoy your discord. If using with Discord, you'll want to fiddle with discords settings as it may interfere with how good the mic sounds.strong 5/5, no real gripes, could MAYBE look more stylish but Corsair have the Virtuoso line up, although the mics don't seem to be as good as the HS80's. But that's a very minor gripe for me.

Good sound quality and feel, but notoriously bad battery and connectivity
I had these for about 7 months. Once connected, they are a dream to use but the battery doesn’t last long enough in my opinion. They end up tethered via cable to the PC most of the time. I decided to start using them for work and if disconnected, the reconnection was especially annoying. I was pushing the on button 3 or 4 times then cycling them off and on again. I could hear my customer but they couldn’t hear me. Not very reliable in that sense.
