Waymouth Farms Italian Pine Nuts, Organic, 3 Ounce

I made pignoli cookies for Christmas and I found the nuts were nice and big, but when I tasted the cookie after baking, they tasted stale.

Delicious pine nuts. Nice size and texture. I have ordered these more than once and the quality has been consistent. I'm a basic cook and I enjoy these on spaghetti squash with a little cheese. Makes it taste exotic to my unsophisticated taste buds.

The pine nuts seemed fresh upon arrival, and almost all of them were intact, which is amazing since these had to be shipped all the way to Guam, and the box they arrived in was pretty beat up upon delivery. Just once star down, since I think they are over priced, even considering this is the only source of Italian pine nuts that I have found on this island.

I had read that Italian grown pine nuts were superior to Chinese grown pine nuts which I've have only had. I bought these and did a taste test with the Chinese and these were awful compared to the Chinese. Perhaps my source for the Chinese were fresher or these were old I don't know? I will stay with the Chinese for now or perhaps try Mexican or New Mexican pine nuts. These are essential for making Pesto Genovese.

These expire within a week. I assumed based on the packaging that I’d at least have a few months, but no. They expire within 6 days of when I got them. Just something to consider if you don’t plan on using all of all of them right away

Top quality and worth the money without the concern about the possibility of bitter taste as with the nuts from China
