Superb Iron
This is a Brilliant steam iron I couldn't wait to try it out when it arrived. This iron was so easy to set up and effortless to use. It's very light when ironing and I like that you remove the water tank to fill and empty it with ease. I had my last Tefal iron for more than 10 years so I had to get another Tefal.

Fantastic Iron, Worth Every Penny
First, if you do not have a steam room at home, do not worry during the use of this iron, you get a great facial, LOL. NOT a negative, the steam is fantastic, makes ironing so easy. I set the iron up in about one minute, filled it, took it over to the board. (point to note, not the lightest, but well manageable). Touched the on button, it came on and I started to use it. "That hard".I had 35 items, adult and children, t-shirts, trousers including jeans, dress tops and PJ's. From start to finish 19 minutes. That included letting the dog out the back and getting a juice.Yes, the steam can be strong, (Steam Facial), but its fantastic, I ironed a t-shirt from start to finish in under 20 seconds. My son can over pack the dryer, so some of the boys clothes can be creased and with the old iron, very difficult to get out. Today, one pass with the iron and it was done. Yes, one t-shirt needed two passes, but with the old iron, it would take 5 or 6, even then they would still have some creases.I put a towel down as suggested in one review because they said the iron board can get over saturated, at the end yes it was damp, but not wet or saturated. that said I only ironed for 20 minutes.Worth every penny, cut my ironing time in half, even although we had a similar type of iron before.

TEFAL PRO EXPRESS PROTECT STEAM GENERATOR IRON
My wife has had a Tefal steam generator iron for years, she Launders almost on an 'Industrial Scale' and so the Iron gets a mountain of use.For her usage, even though she is fanatical about cleaning and maintenance of it, they typically last about 3 to 4 years before something fails and we end up buying a new one.She has tried other brands of steam generators and they are not in the same class as Tefal and she will never buy other brands now. When this one arrived, it was much the same as the others but the one disappointing thing was there was now no longer a plug cord storage slot and that was a little irritating and spoils Tefal's image really. It 'smacks' of cost saving in Production but that is not reflected in a cost saving for the purchaser. Given the choice, we would prefer the storage slot for the power cable as it is easier to pack and stack away.Notwithstanding that, the performance is 5 star as always with Tefal Steam Generator Irons and she has Zero complaints about how it feels, how it Irons, quantity of Steam etc.Is has an 'auto detect' temperature controller and my wife was VERY sceptical about that but it works just fine...ironed with caution first but not now...good innovation but removes customer choice on temperatures which should be considered a drawback; innovation is good -removal of choice maybe a bridge too far but we knew what it was when we bought it, so we cannot complain about it.We would highly recommend this Tefal Steam Generator Iron - it is not heavy, is easy to use and clean and does heavy duty usage no problem. Before you buy other brands, look at this Tefal one first...

Steam Iron
Very light and easy to handle. Irons well, good water storage tank but a couple of downsides; the iron leaks water initially, there is no storage for the plug or electrical lead and lacks steam and temperature variables. Disappointing considering the price, there are better on the market. My previous model of this was miles better

Ironing is a pleasure!
Every Iron I've owned breaks within 2 years due to the hard water in my area. In this case I've opted to use only distilled water - NOT deionised water. I hope this will prolong the life of this VERY expensive iron.I had a very cheap (£70) generator before, and this is a wold of difference. It is so powerful, the steam actually lifts the iron a little whist using it. It has a really easy to fill water tank, that holds 1.8L of water and lasts me a couple of weeks. It is also very easy to remove and put back. Just plug in and turn on. It takes up to 3 minutes to fire-up, but once up to temperature you can iron non stop for an eternity. There is no temperature setting for the iron head, and I've not tried delicates yet, but it seems to be good on synthetics that would melt under my old irons. The iron head glides nicely over all fabrics, and I've only needed to use a water spray (not included in this iron) once, for denim jeans that had been crumpled in the drier. The 'cable' between the base unit and the iron is a lot longer than on my last iron, which is great. You can also stand the iron head upright on your ironing board instead of having to return it to the unit as you do in many similar irons, which is also a massive plus.I'm struggling to think of any faults as of yet. Rest assured if I find any I will return and amend my review.I do emphasise the use of distilled water. I've been so disappointed with expensive steam irons in the past, but I've come to realise that if the water is not pure then they will always fail.Good luck if you choose to purchase!

DO NOT BUY
I bought this as a ‘buy again’ item from Amazon as the last Tefal I had was brilliant. This isn’t the same iron. The thermostat was faulty, so I sent back for repair. As the repair took so long I purchased a second one from another store believing I’d just got a dud. Big mistake! This iron also leaked water from the sole plate after a couple of weeks and the store do not take returns after 14 days. Tefal customer care is non existent, so no hope there. My repaired iron arrived back this week and is still unusable! Every time I use the steam a residue appears on the sole plate making it stick to the fabric (I’m using silk). If I can’t use the steam function what’s the point in having a steam generator. With the two useless irons, that’s £400 plus down the drain. Do yourself a favour and get a cheap steam generator, it will be better than this lump of metal and plastic and will last you longer too
