I "found" some of my older Apple devices in a drawer--iPods and the like. I have had problems with non-Apple cables in the past, so I was leery. I need not have been. This inexpensive cable works great to connect and charge those devices. There was no plug-in problem or lack of compatibility. The cable is long enough to go from a computer or charger to the device. After a couple of months of use on multiple devices, I don't see any wear and I have not had any quality issues.

Update: While my item was a little shaky as mentioned in my prior comment, the vendor was very quick to provide a no-hassle refund or replacement. That goes a long way in providing assurances that you will not be left high and dry.There are a number of reviews that noted that the casing on the unit came off/separated when unplugging. I did not read them before purchasing. I plugged the unit into my old Ipod 5th gen and it did charge up the unit (concerned the ipod had failed). Unfortunately when I went to unplug it (first unplugging) the unit separated. Likely still works, but I did purchase another one from a different vendor as the life on this puppy doesn't seem to be very long.

I had gotten this for an old iPod and it works, but I had difficulty inserting it and removing it. When I pulled it out the top separated from the part you plug in on the first time I used it. So that I could see the wires inside. I pushed it back together and it still works, but I don’t know how long it will last with that happening with the first use. So I would say that the durability isn’t good. I just have to very careful with it, as it seems that it was not actually glued together when manufactured.Update: The company has great customer service and they sent a replacement, so I gave an extra star, but the product seems to be exactly the same issue with sticking very securely in the device, but then separating when pulling it out. You just have to do it carefully, as it pushes back together and still works. I guess these are just snapped together not actually glued which is why that happens, but it still works so all is good, just be gentle with it. It doesn’t cost much and as it is hard to get these old cables anymore, it is fine. Just be very gentle with it.

Very cheap quality. But I guess that’s what you get with the cheap price. One of the chargers broke within 2 hours (the plastic piece came off and wire was exposed). It did in fact charge my item but the quality is just not there.
