A generally good Sacra frankincense..
First, a primer on Frankincense and how the various varieties smell;Frankincense Sacra - this is basically the original frankincense from the middle east. The smell is fairly musty, woody, with a trailing note of citrus and turpentine. This is considered the original frankincense of biblical times and is a very complex smell but in most cases, not the overall most refined smell.Frankincense Frereana - this is the most 'known' frankincense smell. The smell is very well rounded, a near perfect blend of woody/turpentine, with a far distant citrus note. Most resin's are made from this so you are probably most used to this. It is generally the most used because the smell isn't overly complex and is a wise middle ground choice for virtually any use.Frankincense Carterrii - this isn't very common. The smell of this is arguably the best of the bunch. The smell starts off with a high note of citrus, the mid notes are turpentine/woodsy, and it trails off with a spicy scent. It's complex, virtually as complex as sacra however with a different note combination.Frankincense Serrata - this one isn't in widespread use from what I can find. The smell of this one is actually the least complex and most harsh. Most of the notes are strong turpentines, the citrus note is second to turpentine, and the woody scent is so far trailing that many people may miss it.If I had to pick my favorite it would be Carterrii, the entry point of nice citris and near perfect middle blend of turpentine/woody is pretty attractive I must admit.. Frereana is too common, I smell it all of the time and it's just not overly complex enough for me to enjoy. My least favorite is Serrata as it's unmistakably harsh and at times almost unpleasant. However one of the best I have ever smelled is actually a blend of serrata, carterii, frereana. This is incredibly complex and uplifting smelling, and the overpowering nature of serrata is tempered by the other scents. The famed 'Frankincense Trinity" is actually serrata, carterii, frereana. It's much cheaper to make your own... But honestly, if I was mixing them I would remove Serrate and do sacra, carterii, frereana for the overall best and most potent mix result. As for benefits between the versions, they are reported to be; (although I cannot vouch for the source entirely)Boswellia serrata: Supports a healthy response to oxidative stressBoswellia frereana: Supports a healthy response to inflammationBoswellia carterii: Supports a healthy immune systemOverall, it's generally considered best to blend frankincense for a broad spectrum of support, benefits, and cleansing/purification. Each one has a different scent, different notes, and different energy signature.

Love Edens Garden! Researched, Tried and True
I am absolutely in LOVE with Edens Garden EO. I started as a YL customer but just couldn't swallow the prices anymore! I read up on these oils for more than a week before purchasing. I also wrote an e-mail to the company and basically asked them to sell me on their oils and why I should choose them over the other companies out there. I was EXTREMELY satisfied and put at ease by their response and information. These are 100% pure oils folks.. First distillation, non GMO, Organic and Affordable! The main difference between them and YL? 1) They don't own their own crops, they purchase from other growers. The plants they use are native to where they are grown and the growers they purchase from are still checked often for quality control and to ensure they are getting organic product. 2) Because they only sell direct through their website or from Amazon (no pyramid scheme) They are able to sell the oils at cost without bumping the prices to pay for additional salesmen etc.. basically, they have a lot fewer "hands to feed" than YL which makes them much more affordable.I am not bashing YL oils at all, they sell some high quality stuff! Like I said, my pocket book just couldn't handle it anymore. Now through Edens Garden, I get the same quality oil, but I can buy 3 for the price of 1 YL oil.All this information is on the EG website.. they are quick to respond to any questions and are very transparent. Don't like the oil? they have a no questions asked, money back guarantee within 30 days.A lot of people on here complain about some of the oils smelling bad?? I'm sorry.. but some of these oils are specifically for function, not necessarily fragrance. They aren't all going to smell like nectar from heaven. (and they aren't going to smell the same to everyone.. my mom thinks my rosewood oil smells like pepper, but I personally LOVE the fragrance.) it just depends on the kind of plant you're extracting the oil from. Hardly a reason to discredit the company. I now have almost 20 of their oils and have loved every one of them! Can't wait to buy more.

Cedarwood Atlas 100% Pure Therapeutic Grade Essential Oil by Edens Garden- 10 mlI was very impressed with Eden's Garden when I received my bottle of cedar wood. They not only produce a good high quality oil but they inserted a flyer that had a hundred and fifty different ways to use essential oils.Did you know that it is mentioned regularly in the bible and it is thought to be one of the first essential oils extracted from nature. The ancient Egyptians made use of it for embalming practices. Mind you I don't plan to be doing any embalming. The first thing I used Cedarwood oil for was to help me sleep at night. I had a blend of oils that I had been sprinkling on my pillow and that worked great most of the time but when I felt especially tense and restless I would wake up several times during the night. Then I started to diffuse the Cedarwood on my bedside table and no more waking up during the night. My teenager has started adding it to her face cleansing routine to help with her acne flare ups. Another thing that I use it for is at work. I have a very small bowl at the reception desk with a cotton ball in it and I put a few drops on the cotton ball. It seems to promote a feeling of calm. If fact when our boss is getting stressed the bowl gets moved to his desk for a few hours. I am really impressed with this company and there product. I look forward to purchasing more oils from them.Disclaimer: I may have received this product at a discount or free, the statements above are my honest opinion of the product. My reviews are after careful inspection of the product and ease of use as well packaging and delivery time.
