This thing saved my life
I strapped it on, the fit was tight,My ankle hugged with all its might.“Achilles Band,” the box had said—But now I felt some legal dread. It beeped! I froze. “Oh what the heck?Am I on parole? Did I bounce a check?”Neighbors stared as I walked past—Like I’d escaped jail just a tad too fast.I checked the app—it tracks your stride,But I still felt watched from deep inside.I’m not on house arrest, I swear!I just want less pain when climbing stairs!Yet funny looks can’t dull the thrill—This band is boss, it fits the bill.My ankle’s happy, pain is gone,Even if I look like I’m out on bond.So buy it now—don’t walk, just run!(It won’t alert when you’re having fun.)A healing tool that’s built to last—Even if you look like you broke your past!

Simple & Easy to Use
I have been using this product to prevent an Achilles’ tendon rupture. I’m not sure why, but when I place this low on my ankle, it seems to give me the support I need and prevents compression loading of my Achilles’ tendon. I wear it every time I play tennis.

Great product to combat achilles tendonitis
I'm 66 years old and play tennis about three times per week. I've been wearing achilles support devices for about the past five years. If you ever feel any pain in your achilles area, you need support, don't wait!I've found these straps to be easy to use, more durable than other straps, a good value and very comfortable to wear.I have not had achilles issues since wearing these straps.

May work with some gastrocs soleus tear
The idea of minimizing stress to the Achilles tendon is good but where this strap can be positioned to make that happen is merely impossible or very slim! This may be okay for gastrocs and soleus injuries but not if you are trying to protect the Achilles that is located distally. Imagine putting this over the Achilles or on myotendon junction then run, with ankle movements and Achilles tendon going concentric and eccentric , it will shorten the tendon translation and possibly cause more strain. Unlike when using a chopat for tennis elbow, it works good because the lateral epicondyle the area you are protecting is located proximally, stress of the wrist extensors are somewhat minimized.

Third time's the charm
I was originally using another thin tendonitis strap for so long that the Velcro was wearing out. Wanted to replace it with something with a little more coverage. Tried another brace that ended up severely irritating the tendon running down my shin (tibialis anterior). After the couple or three weeks it took to recover from the soreness caused by that second brace, I purchased this Vigorwise strap. Appears third time's the charm as it's been working well. It's beefier than the first brace I originally replaced; it's comfortable and not causing any undue issues. Can't really say for sure whether the magnets are working or not. All I can say is I've been using it steadily since receiving it on my training runs preparing for my 48th marathon. Full transparency: I'm strictly a middle-of-the-pack marathoner but this Vigorwise strap is going along for the run.

Not happy
I would give it 4 minus stars. Did not work, made pain worse. Waste of money.

Velcro doesn't last
This brace is only good for short term use, the velcro loses its usefulness after stretching the brace a few time. Cannot recommend this brace.
