Does not go on bucket easily. I had to call the company for help and they said you had to stomp on, it so I took a chunk of plywood a little bigger than the lid, put lid on bucket and plywood on the lid then holding onto washing machine stood on the pile and stomped real hard till the lid snapped on. Once on it works great. Use bucket for cat food. easier to unscrew lid than having to pry original lid off.

Gamma seal lids ARE the best and never had any issues with them. Color, fit, and functionality is perfect. 100% plan on buying again when I need more in different colors.

Fit a regular bucket nicely. It went on tight & once it's on, it won't come off, which I'm good with that. Very useful & air tight.

I picked up a couple cheap 5 gallon buckets from Menards. I thought the ring to snap on bucket was too small. Well with a good deal of force it popped on. Not something a weak person will be able to put on. Very nice tight fit. Doubt if it will ever come off. Thread on lid has a fine thread, but once installed it seals nice. My son gave me a 50 lb bag of popcorn. (yes 50 Lbs) Once bag opened it stored very nice in a couple buckets.I was told by a friend they are not water tight. It looks like they should be, but hard to say if 100% water tight. A little expensive for $12 or more a lid. But would buy again.

Great concept and idea, but execution is a little suspect. These are Made In the USA and I always expect a higher standard with products that are. In my case, the lid is not concentric. This doesn't affect performance, but I would think that this sort of thing would be caught before selling. Not a big deal, and perhaps a little picky, but these are Made in the USA.The worst, however, is that molding sprues aren't cleaned up. This prevents the airtight seal that they claim this product will provide. Sure, I can clean this up myself, but again, these are Made in the USA and while I live in the USA I am the customer, not part of the manufacturing process.So, I still give this product 4-stars because they do provide an easy lid to deal with instead of the press on types that can be very difficult. I just wish they would do a tiny bit more to make this truly worthy of the Made in the USA label.

I love these, I have a cold storage that I keep things in my buckets. First one I got was really hard to put on the bucket. Then I figured out ,put Vaseline on the lid and bucket. Take a small 2x4scrap and tap it on. First one took me an hour,now it takes maybe 10 minutes

I use these on buckets of joint compound. They seal perfectly and keep the compound fresh for weeks between jobs. Great product.

Installed on two slightly different 5 gallon buckets and worked perfectly on both. A little easier if you use a rubber mallet to seat the adapter ring to the bucket. Adds ~1/4" to bucket diameter and ~1/2" to height but bucket carry handle remains fully functional. A no-brainer for arthritic hands, wrists and fingers!
