Great compact camera for everyday/street photography
Really like the quality of the photographs from this small compact camera. The fixed focal length makes you think about composition but I think that is a good thing!Shoots in RAW and JPEG and so far really been impressed with the quality of the files.Camera has a huge range of settings and Im still getting to grips with them!

Simply amazing
Always loved the Ricoh GR series. Shooting with it since the analogue GR1, and had almost all the digital ones afterwards. This fits even better for me with 40mm equivalent lens rather than the traditional (for the GR series) 28mm. It's simply amazing, fits in your pocket and has an AMAZING picture quality. Goes unnoticed for street photography. A great tool. Could be better? A couple of things, dust is a pain, it should be weather-sealed, but I understand it's difficult to implement. I don't miss the flash, but someone might.

Another great GR
Love the IIIx . I have the GR (my favorite), a GR III and the IIIx now. I use the 3 of them. I have 2 issues with the III and IIIx . The 1st is battery life which is ridiculously low and the ridiculously high price for a spare battery. My second grip is autofocus. The GR had 2 select focus areas: large and small. The III & IIIx only a small select area. The auto area is focusing all over the place and you end up with out of focus photos. You can always tap the screen area or the point where you want to focus, but you need then both hands which shouldn't be the purpose of this camera. It's a one hand fast shooter used mostly for street photography

Great but !.....
Its a great camera. Super sharp lens all across the frame. Portable to say the least. IIIx or III it depends what you like to shoot ? The BUT is that the camera is for me more of a expensive back up to my DSLR. The 40mm is not a lens that I really love . It's neither wide or close. It's a street camera point and shoot all through. Emergency box camera with you all he time. I shoot with it when I feel there is something great which my iPhone won't be able to cover in MB. I wish there was a 24-70mm evenif the camera had to be a little bigger and then it would be perfect. The video is not good and no view finder. Battery don't last long. Its quite expensive for what it is but again the sharpness is what you pay for as good as dslr.

Great little camera
What is there left to say about this terrific little camera? Its absolute brilliant for street photography, its just so small and unobtrusive and the quality is brilliant whether you shoot JPEGS or RAW. I print up to A3 with no issues. Image stabilisation works well which makes showing in low light an absolute breeze. The only downside is the well known issue of battery life, the solution is simple buy a couple of generic batteries and you're good to go for a days shooting.

A brilliant tiny camera
I love this camera. There is nothing out there with this picture quality for the size. I've been using Fuji cameras, which I think are great, for quite a while but I wanted an even more compact kit. I was afraid of making the jump to a different brand... After using the Ricoh for a couple of weeks I'm a complete convert. The only thing that could be improved a little is the autofocus (it's decent, just not amazing), but the snap focus function is very handy and almost makes up for it.

Extremely pleased
I love that the compact build and intuitive ergonomics make it a joy to use, while the fixed lens challenges you to think creatively and engage with your surroundings. It’s a minimalist’s dream and an inspiring tool for photographers who value simplicity and deliberate shooting.
