Toddler birthday present.
This is a wonderful puzzle. My niece just loves it, and so does her brother who is only a year older. I just love Melissa & Doug toys.

Doesn’t work all the time
Works every now and then but not like other puzzles similar. Already returned once so I’m stuck with it. Shocked since this is a M&D toy.

Defective puzzle?
Very very disappointed in this item. I'm not sure if its defective but this is the SECOND puzzle we've tried and it doesn't work. 1st one stopped singing after a few times, did a return/exchange & got a new one in 2 days. And now the 2nd one isn't working. Very upset about it because my son loves the first sing along puzzle we got a few months ago "Rhymes 2" and have learned all the nursery rhymes. For some reason the "Rhymes 1" just isn't working. Just going to return and get my money back instead of going through the trouble and trying a 3rd puzzle. I love Melissa & Doug toys but this is upsetting. And yes my batteries are brand new and a good brand. That isn't the problem.

Cute, our son loves it
This is probably our son's favorite puzzle. He loves the songs and sways to the music when he plays with it.VERY SENSITIVE TO LIGHT! Make sure the pieces are in or the puzzle is turned off when not in use or you will jump a mile high the first time the darn thing starts singing when you turn the light on in the room it's hiding in late at night.Otherwise cute. Will probably try some of the other singing puzzles. Maybe the animal noise one.

Great sensory gift!
I bought this for my 2yr old granddaughter. She used it so much she wore out the batteries! This puzzle plays nursery rhythms. They have many different sound puzzles.

Absolutely adorable and thick.
Beautifully made puzzle! Sturdy and thick wood. Love the fact that when you pick up each piece, the appropriate nursery rhyme plays from start to finish. Nice touch. Does NOT come with batteries. Two AAA required. Easy enough to install. There is also an "off" switch on the back. Nicely done.
