In February 2021, Eric Clapton's live shows at the Royal Albert Hall were canceled due to the global pandemic. Determined to play, he brought his band together in the English countryside. In the absence of a live audience, he decided to record the performances. This release is the culmination of their sessions together at Cowdray House in West Sussex. Digipak CD/DVD with 16-page booklet.

Excellent value with Cd and DVD in same cover
As a late comer to the Clapton Blues guitar fan club I found this double CD/DVD a real treasure. Much of the dvd is shot in close-up - all four artists featured - and the fact it was made under Covid lockdown rules makes it something of a speciality....plus, if you've never heard an acoustic guitar sob, listen to River of TearsThanks to EC and his Band of Three for music I will always treasure

Clapton at his best
Great to hear Eric at his best again, his life performances are unbeatable and this is nearly there as only one in the gallery.

Like a private viewing
I have so enjoyed this dvd. I feel I have attended a private concert - well, me and Mrs C. The lovely lady in the balcony. It's like a masterclass. Chilled and understated, such a tight and dedicated group of musicians. It's joyous. The tracks are a surprising selection but still include the treasures but reworked. Highly highly recommended. This is what Eric is all about. God bless him. Thanks EC

Very enjoyable concert from Eric and friends
Very enjoyable, good list of songs. I don't agree that it is a better concert than unplugged as someone said as I thought there was room for some fun parts like the gazoo in unplugged. Still gripping, loved Mojo at the end created a good climax. Well done chaps.

So glad I purchased this album - brilliant !
I debated whether or not to purchase this as I already have songs that are on it but this is like being there in the room while Eric and the others were playing them - fantastic !

ERIC CLAPTON BACKS WITH ONE OF HIS BEST ALBUMS EVER !
With his Royal Albert Hall concerts cancelled due to the virus, he moved down to a country house in West Sussex got together a three piece band of Steve Gadd (drums), Chris Stainton (keyboards) and Nathan East on bass both electric and double bass, and together laid down one totally fantastic album. Throughout the 17 tracks here Eric is at his very best, his voice better than ever, his guitar skills still put most of the current players to shame whether acoustic (and that lovely sounding 12 string dreadnought he had made for these sessions) or laid back electric to add a few blues tracks. The tribute to Peter Green is truly outstanding both Black Magic Woman and Man Of The World, truly honour the great man himself. A relook at songs such as Golden Ring, After Midnight, River Of Tears and the wonderful River Of Tears, sound even better than the original versions he made. Add blues such as Nobody Knows You, Bell Bottom Blues, Rock Me Baby, Going Down Slow, Long Distance Call, Bad Boy, Keys To The Highway and a great closer on Got My Mojo Working. If that's already not enough add a brilliant new arrangement of Layla, or Tears In Heaven, and you have one fantastic album, and proof that EC is still at the very top of his game, still one of the finest blues artists around, and that guitar is just the icing on the cake, a masterpiece. The DVD that goes with this set adds even more with scenes around the country house grounds, the live sessions with some fabulous close ups, the band grabbing chats, and a very enjoyable DVD you'll play again and again. So with some great photos from the sessions, and this wonderful music, this believe me is one set you just don't want to miss.I had the absolute pleasure of reviewing this album ahead of release for a major music magazine, and loved it so much but just had to wait to grab it when fully released. Put it top of your Christmas list, or even up there with the best albums of the year.Another Clapton timeless classic !

Mellow
A great return to form with a mainly acoustic set, raiding past gems with a mellow laid back warm sound. No new material to be had, well worth getting if you enjoyed his unplugged as this is seriously good, rate this up there ( ok almost) with Ben Andrews Gallow pole album.Wadda you mean who?? Same format you'll see
