Quadra-Fire Mt. Vernon AE Feed Motor

Great price as well as fast delivery for parts that are getting hard to find for my pellet stove. Recommend this seller who is having problems finding parts OEM for their older pellet stoves.

This motor was easy to install and works perfect.

My stove went down and needed some TLC. The motor although expensive was an OEM (Quadra-fire) part and received one day ahead of the original delivery date. In short, I installed it and got the stove up and running! Nice and toasty!!!!

So my Quadrafire Mt Vernon AE pellet stove's been a good servant since 2006, we've rarely had any issues--other than replacing the ignitor. Towards the end of 2019-2020 heating season the stove began occasionally shutting itself down, & error message "AUGER JAMMED" appeared in the control box window. This happened once or twice, & I removed the entire auger assembly, along with the optical sensor gizmo, & cleaned both with alcohol wipes. That worked for the last of the heating days last spring.But recently after having the stove shut off for a couple of unusually warm late winter days, when I cranked the stove up again, the "AUGER JAMMED" message kept repeating over & over despite everything I tried.Researching online pellet stove forums, it sounded like either a bad auger motor OR a bad optical sensor unit. Thankfully Amazon.com seller Clearview Fireplace & Patio in Oswego, NY sells the exact OEM parts I needed, saving me a call for service from a local stove business. After doing extensive online research to why my Quadra Fire Mt. Vernon AE(insert) pellet stove keeps shutting down after the firepot burns up all the pellets that I hand fill, I've come down to replacing the auger motor again. I bought this exact motor back in 2018, so it only lasted 3-4 years. You can buy the factory part on another website for $217, but I bet it will last longer! I thoroughly cleaned our stove, replaced the ignitor & thermocouple, trying to fix this thing, but looks like I'm going to be replacing this part again...

The motor was delivered quickly. Wish there were some instructions on swapping out, but I was able to find things online through Quadra-Fire on how to do this

Ordered as a replacement for the Quadrafire Mt Vernon AE pellet stove. We were continually receiving the "Auger Jam" error. This part matched the OEM part from our stove pretty much exactly. It fits and functions with the Mt Vernon AE like a charm.When replacing I determined the sensor (which is attached to the auger) was damaged. This was actually the cause of the "Auger Jam" error. I ended up just leaving the new auger motor, and ordering/replacing the sensor as well. Make sure to carefully inspect the sensor for damage if encountering a similar issue with your stove. There is a disc that rotates on the auger, and through the sensor, that can become loose and damage the auger sensor. Of course, it's important to make sure the auger pieces are secured properly and aligned with the new sensor to avoid this in the future. Ours had become loose at some point and began to rub on the sensor. The sensor I used to fix the 'false' "Auger Jam" error is the OEM replacement "Quadra-Fire Mt. The motor was an exact fit for my pellet stove. That is always worrisome when ordering on-line electrical part. I should get many more years of service from the part. No instructions came with the part so I suppose the vendor assumes the purchaser should know the installation process and I did.
