Q: I am actually looking to purchase this a pull up bar for my mom from a wheelchair wondering how wide this measures? Sounds as though it is 31 inches

35.75" from inside of one upright to inside of other upright. Small short braces extend on one side only into that space, if that makes sense.It's 31" h from floor to bottom of top crossbar. Hope that helps! If you're talking about using it to help your mom pull herself up to a stand from a wheelchair that might work. Caution may require some weight like a sandbag on those small braces to keep her from pulling it over into her lap as she stands, depending on her weight and movement.

The metal bar is 1.1 inches. 1.33 inches with the black handle padding

Q: I am 6 foot 2 inches tall - would it be long enough for my arms?

On our website, on the FAQ page, the 2nd question asks about the dimensions, and it shows a gentlemen who is 6 ft. 5 inches tall using the WorkHorse. So in all probability, you should not have any problems doing pullups with My WorkHorse. Depending on how wide you like to place your hands when doing pushup, you might need to do them from the other side, not directly underneath your WorkHorse.

I suppose you could......I just tried, and I did. At my height of 5'0", that is a pushup at about45degrees from vertical or horizontal......a better push than a wall version with your feet outfrom the wall about 24-30". Hope that helps!
